Problem with that scenario is you can't get a real price form Meineke or Midas unless they can see your car. Muffler prices are one thing, but you rarely just need the muffler part alone. Pipes leading to and away from the actual muffler can cost a whole lot. How do you know you need a new muffler? Was your car loud? My idea would be to leave the muffler repair for now, get your car back, and then you can go shopping with the car so they can see everything it will need and get you a "real" quote. Hope this helps. Tony is 'da man. Even after incorrectly measuring myself and receiving a jumpsuit that I couldn't even get my leg into Tony re-did a new one (with the correct measurements) AT NO CHARGE! He could have rightly done nothing and the only person I'd have to blame would be the reflection in my mirror. My good friend has laid claim to my old tony suit which has a DOM sometime in 1985! Rubbish. You need to read more carefully before jumping to absurd conclusions. Apparently you totally misunderstand my opinions, probably quite deliberately. The US is not the world's only capitalist nation by a long long way, but it is the only developed nation with no national health care policy. Capitalism has nothing whatever to do with it. I'm always amazed at the mentality of some of my fellow jumpers today. Soon you'll want bounce-proof gear. It's called "RISK MANAGEMENT" and I'm very much in favor of it. So much so,that I think that it should be available to ALL Americans regardless of income or employment. And the ONLY way that can happen is if the government makes it happen. Why is it silly? If a healthy person is paying more in premiums than they use in services, then where is the rest of the money going? Over the past 30 years I have paid way more in health insurance premiums than I have gotten back in actual care. So you're upset because you haven't gotten terribly sick or injured? Expedia www.expedia.com or Travelocity www.travelocity.com would be your best bet. There really aren't any airlines anyomre that pay commissions to travel agents or anything. Also, try the airline's home pages once you've found a deal on Travelocity or Expedia. Most people don't realize that both those sites don't have access to ALL the flights an airline offers.
