Last month, the band, Kid Savant traveled from NY to Eloy AZ to make a skydiving music video with a flying piano, lamps, bikes, roses, chairs, and an exploding canopy. Greg Gasson and I coordinated and launched all the stuff. The lead singer went through AFF and did his own jumps. Very cool. The video just came out. Man! There are so many cool stories and the responses will very much affect the video I produce for the sport. The answers also generated other questions for me that I'll post sometime shortly. Dropzone.com is, no doubt, a wonderful resource. Regarding your question about notification - I'll probably post the letters as they were written. It will be a while because I want to complete the video project first. If you're concerned about it, you might want to email your revisions to me. No doubt, there are a lot of skydiving videos with spectacular action and cool music. The sport doesn't really need promoting. People already know it's cool and exhilarating. And its on TV quite a bit. What's missing is the message that skydiving is rewarding, that it can change a person for the better, and that people from all walks in life already participate, and that we're a positive and lively community worth joining. Its amazing, the responses here, and the ones sent to my email. I can hardly say thanks enough. I'm learning a lot. And its great to see that I wasn't just dreaming up the concept that skydiving can be a life altering (usually for the better) experience. All of this is good food for thought that will help me to make a more effective product.
