  1. EFLA. on the 21st, 22nd of September.
  2. Strong tandem gear: inspection after every 25 jump, jump/packing data is collected on a sheet of paper.
  3. You don't seem to have the concept of separation. How much separation do you get if you drop jumpers with 7 seconds of delay, the plane flies with 80kts into the wind and the wind is 10, 40, 70 kts?
  4. Just out of curiosity, have you read this discussion from the beginning?
  5. Horrible openings. There are lots of canopies for beginners and novices. Pick one of them and stay away for ellipticals for 200 or 500 jumps.
  6. Do you consider ground launch as cheating for swoop? You can have a landing without a jump.
  7. You can go naked if you dare. "naked" is shorts only for males and shorts + top for females.
  8. It's a compromise. I short recovery arc means months or year if you are coming in low.... Tool for the purpose! Katana and Stiletto is a completely different purpose.
  9. Mastered? A healthy fear keeps you alive. I though twice I would know all/ enough..... I got a bite and some(more) metal. I have not posted my latest hot swoop X-ray yet. I did swear I would never ever jump anything under 200 sqft. I got 50+ jumps on 105sqft, WL 2.2-2.3+.
  10. You'd rather have one more cut-away and reserve ride than regret not having one. He saved his live, job well done!
  11. Funny. Try some and check the harness size. Its easy with Javelins, like C17. C is the yoke size, 17 inch is the harness size.
  12. Sounds like stall. Let the suite fly! Close your arm wing a bit smaller 1/2 or 2/3 and pick up speed and fly.
  13. Yea...those stand out alright...everyone can see me comin Rainbow colours can be a statement.
  14. Or reckless, suicidal... But thanks, we know where can we found those....
  15. No. Next question ... Do you have any sense of humor, left?
  16. In quite a few cases thats actually arms swooped back, body arched and legs up Me in white: http://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash4/481896_3324439762335_794695543_n.jpg I guess that's what I get for being 115lbs and flocking in an X I don't consider that full flight. Though I use the term "full flight" loosely like some others do. Is that the typical American full flight?
  17. If you mean deploying ir really full flight (without decreasing horisontal speed and angle of flight), in case of flight for distance or/and speed it can be pretty painfull. I tried to deploy in such way few times and it nearly killed me. Also I've got a twist few times. But if you mean deploying just without collapsing of wingsuit as much as possible with decreasing speed a little, everything should be ok. The only thing you should pay attention - incresing of PC eclipse probability. There is quite much of FUD about full flight deployment. First of all if you use common sense for deployment speed you are in the speed range of sub-terminal deployment. I can cruise over 200 km/h horizontal speed, but I'm not deploying from that. Your canopy does not care about the angle of deployment, just the relative wind, _but_if you have a canopy with snappy openings you might kiss your knees, because of the whip slash. If you jump a snivelly canopy FF pull can be ok. I went back to "classic" deployment when I started to jump my Stealth. I got knot on the bridle several times. I got no knots when I deployed from full flight. My procedure is wave, pull and get back to flight as long the canopy takes it over. Pro's: less burble, cleaner deployment faster deployment, not that important in skydiving Con's: bigger chance to get line twist a snappy opening might hurt more Yes, I got 2 cut-away from a line-twist, both were from pulling full flight and jumping an elliptical canopy. Full flight deployment is not recommended by any manufacturer. "Classic" deployment is the way for student and beginners or someone jumping a fast opening canopy.
  18. How come? An altimeter on the student's wrist does it cause distraction? I don't think that a tandem student's video would worth anything. He/She can loose the camera too.
  19. No, no, no and no. Ask your instructor!
  20. You are so right! Vampire2 does not match your extraordinary skill, you really have to reduce wing area. Get a Firebird, Phantom2 or Shadow.
  21. Is that the reason why everyone should have one?
  22. Twitch toggles are not for easy landing.
  23. Why a Diablo? This is not a really smart move. Diablo said to be only one merit: the fastest turn rate with toggles. Is that the only your are looking for? I'd buy a smaller Sable 2 if I were you and looking into swooping...
  24. I have seen it, but have not jumped. I tnk some people using those in BASE. It is not a suit for beginners.
  25. You can check the result of the Results of the Hungarian competition [url"http://www.wingsuitboogie.hu/en"]here.[/url]. There were sharks the at least last year.
