  1. I'd rather use my time, money and P2 to learn and practice acrobatics If I were you. If you got enough range, if you are on the light(er) side, than forget about up-size.
  2. Are they really comparable? They are different tools for different purposes. It's like buying a Parafoil or Velocity for CReW instead of a Lighting, because you can have a great deal.
  3. Hmm, I would say, safety - yes, training - not so sure
  4. It was not part of the solution, but source of most trouble I had. It was the source of zipper jam...
  5. Is this thread has anything to do with Safety and Training?
  6. "The Sleeve" is the way forward. I got 200+ jumps on Stealth. I can't recall how many times I have used the wing cut-away, because I got the think piece of ZP in the zipper. There were some rare cases when I got urgent issues with my canopy. I'm lot happier jumping a suit with "The Sleeve". No little piece of ZP to catch and I can access my risers without stressing my suit If I have an urgent need for risers. I miss the wing cut-away as much I miss it for putting the suit on the rig with tabs and the cable....
  7. What happened that you had to chop the Storm? There was a time when any canopy could have a malfunction. Is that time over?
  8. Well, refueling with passengers on-board is a normal procedure even with commercial flight.
  9. Well done! Have you posted to Facebook and twitted out?
  10. I got no negative inflation issues with X-Bird. It inflates way faster than any suit around. I have to keep my wings closed for seconds and fly dirty after exit if you want to fly with other , specially if I fly base. One of my first jumps I was first on exit, two guys wanted to follow me: one in Blade, other in V3. They were 30-50m under me after exit..... I don't jump BASE, but I know one case someone died after a unsuccessful exit with X-Bird.
  11. I submit that any GR < 1 isn't flying, but falling at an angle. Sure, Ask a glider! Under 10 it's not flying just controlled falling.
  12. I did jump WS with: 32" F1-11 PC short bridle 28" ZP PC long "Bird-Man" bridle 24" ZP PC regular bridle I got no hesitation what so ever. I prefer to pull from full flight. I fly X-Bird this days.....
  13. I have tried. It was a hop and pop and the gogles were in my neck in a split second after exit. I was wondering what to do: put it back or throw. I did throw.
  14. How can you lean forward if you are suspended on 2 points only ?
  15. I had the very same idea, but I have to admit, a container has its part in the quality of deployment. With the very same canopy in a Javelin as tight fit, does not open as nice and clean than from a Vector II loose fit.
  16. Look, if all new rigs offer the same safety and comfort?
  17. Just for my curiosity, what is the agenda for 10th and 11th of August, 2012? Those 2 days are missing from the list.
  18. Have you ever though that we should jump with a church-bell attached to our suit? That could be also beneficial for several reasons.
  19. With your experience it does not really matter which modern canopy you choose from your category. Demo if you can or just pick the most popular next to you.
