  1. Are you ready to jump WS with a canopy WL 1.8-2.8? I jump a Cobalt Competition WL 2.3+ without wing suit. I got 90 seconds between my opening and landing from a hop and pop...... Are you ready for that?
  2. I got a perfect knot on my bridle over the d-bag.
  3. How about fixing your split personality first, Troll?
  4. If you feel the difference of speed between chest strap tight and chest strap loose than you might understand the difference...
  5. See my awful image: We got left pattern to land. colors: cyan - the sector you expect traffic. red - coming to swoop green - target to land blue - your sight when you look strait grayish blue - your sight when you turn your head 1. You can easier to observe traffic if you come from sideways... 270, 540 2. A setup for landing is _not_ coming in strait. + FR 180 is harder to setup if there is a wind, because you get you initiation point with flying downwind vs flying sidewind with 270.
  6. Was your pilot-chute collapsed or not when you recovered your cut-away main in this condition? Locking-stows (rubber-bands) in-tact or broken? Pictures , please!
  7. I got some jumps over WL 1.7. It was opening, flying and landing OK.
  8. The have this thing most sour people always bitching on forums miss.....a sense of humor (be it a low...and here quite bad one) Well, your kindda humor is really cool....................in the kinder garden.
  9. What is wrong with you ppl? Is the weather bad?
  10. Do you still practice how to ride a bicycle? How PLF is different?
  11. A licensed skydiver or a freefall capable student if his/her instructor agrees. I got a case when an instructor denied it. Their rules, their games.
  12. True, but lot easier fly than any of old ones. You can fly an impact which considered just as a track suit. I did fly a Prodigy. It felt a bit fishy and I think my Phantom was easier to fly...
  13. With modern small surface suits like Prodigy even 100-150 jumps could be enough. FYI Jari from Bird-Man got an idea to have a AFF like course with jump nr1, too bad its never get implemented.
  14. I like my own colors. They are visible in all background.
  15. The beauty of statistics that you are able to prove something or even the opposite of that depending of your methodology. So, what is your conclusion to prove?
  16. Who is still using Vector 2? Mine turns 20 years old this November.
  17. Deployment Wind Can you expand a little on this, or confirm that you are joking? Thanks. Those are correct, but not practical answers. Those are an answer of a mathematician. Very close but far from being practical. No hard opening without deployment, right? Wind, relative wind, airspeed..... Most cases: -Deployment speed -Slider placement -Design ??? -line dump -bag strip I got some unexpected hard opening on an elliptical canopy..... I've check my speed graph. There was a peek of 230 km/h on deployment.....
  18. Notice that he had a currency requirement too. In Finland now it's min 200+ (freefall) jump. There is no strict currency requirement.
  19. Sure there also no difference in landing if you start from 1/4 breaks, right??
  20. I have not jump Stiletto, but I jump a Cobalt @ WL 1.8+. Because of the low airspeed on opening and the design may be mine opening with closed end-cells: 1,2 or sometime even 4 of them. I got only one line twist I cut away. Cause: crappy opening position, do not open if you have a bank.... Sure you can jump whatever what you are comfortable with, but not for your first jumps and not if I give you FFC.
  21. You must have been kidding. A Pilot or Sabre2 can be an all around canopy, but not a cross braced small pocket rocket like JFX.
  22. What keeps your canopy in shape? Is it internal pressure? What is the source of the pressure? Is it your airspeed may be? I agree with active flying and keeping the brake line tight, but flying in full speed.
  23. Agreed, that was where my 1/4 brakes penetration method came from. Slower penetration equals less violent turbulence. Wrong. More speed, more pressurization and keep your lines under tension. Do not give up your speed...
