Clearly he feels threatened by others and does not want them using their skills to beat him.

what in your mind when you see this

Ok if i told you he's got less than 200 jumps is that ring a bell From a still? No, not particularly. Wingsuit with a flag on the foot - good idea? Prolly not, but I haven't flown a wingsuit in years so I really don't have much of a place to comment on the idiocy in that. WS with less then 200 jumps - not a good idea if you believe recommendations. Hardly able to tell his jump # since he forgot to wear his "Jump Number Display Unit" (pat. pend). You seem like you have an axe to grind somewhere. Don't be a little twerp about it. Come out and say what you have to say, or shut the fuck up. Passive-aggressive guessing games got old in elementary school. -

I was just having a conversation with a friend and this hit me. We were talking about losing friends in this sport, and it struck me that I have a hard time remembering all my friends that have died in the last 10 years - as in I would do the list, then realize that I forgot about someone. I'm not sure if that angers me more or saddens me more. /not including the people that I don't know that I have had to work on in the field.

I am kinda scared to see what happens when I go back to jumping after recovery from this shoulder. It's gonna be epic. -
Damnit. Time to pull out the gloves and read my copy of it.

While your one case has not had an incident, there is plenty of evidence to support her statement that the flap is weaker and subject to displacement. The biggest problem here is that you don't realize how stupid you sound arguing with the eye doctor about the risk to your eyes after eye surgery. Her "sweeping statement" while harsh - is completely correct. It may not have happened to you yet. I hope it never does. However, the corneal flap is higher risk for people in contact sports.

What is Zero G's, Negative G's, and some examples?
wildcard451 replied to BravestDog's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Swing and a miss, B. Initial impact should result in at least a solid +2G with foot firmly in ass, Trajectory from apogee and through descent will briefly result in a soothing zeroG until impact with the ground and being confronted with your folly. Wasn't exactly meant to be taken seriously in here. -
What is Zero G's, Negative G's, and some examples?
wildcard451 replied to BravestDog's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
BravestDog - Negative G - that upward acceleration when someone plants their foot firmly up your ass. 0 G - that floating feeling when you reach the top of your flight Positive G - From the drop until the moment when your sorry ass hits the ground. -
Problems with some staff at a DZ?
wildcard451 replied to Alex89's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
One point of reality though - I am not quite sure about canada, but the weather limits in the USA for tandems and solo students can be quite different, so the tandems may still fly and the solo students be stuck on the ground due to winds. Sucks, but it's a daily reality. -
Well, since my post in the photography forum went in the trash I will re-iterate Dave again with a re-hash of my thoughts on this matter here. You are here representing a Magazine that is that widely available. It is fucking disgraceful that you are here offering "photo credit" instead of offering to pay a photographer for their work. Did you tell your publisher that you can't pay them because of your budget? I doubt it. I am sure that people are paying for advertising space if you are that widely distributed, or did you give all that space away for free? I am tired of people disrespecting photographers by not wanting to pay them for their work. If you want good quality images that will be suitable for publication, you will need a shot from a jumper who has taken many years to craft the skills needed to get that shot, as well as rather expensive gear required to obtain said image. If you were National Geographic then you might be able to get away telling me that exposure in your magazine will get my name out there, but then again, you would also have the professional courtesy to pay me for my work. Photographers: if you do not put value on your work, no one else will. As far as the gentleman asking for free pictures here - I hope you get quality of photos submitted equal to the value that you put on them.
