  1. Indeed...but hey travel that much. Once she sat down at break next to Robin Leach, she was preparing for the 1st ever 'Around the World Air Race' and had all kinds of stuff she was going through trying to get organized. Robin kept watching her, then asked a few questions and was quite impressed...until he introduced himself she didn't recognize him. He took the phone number & said he had a friend that 'may' have some interest in sponsorship if they needed some help with the race. The next day I answered a call from the personal assistant of billionaire John Paul DeJoria, of Paul Mitchell fame...inviting us to a party in their home that weekend, where they could discuss the race. The 310 ended up getting a white with black lettering paint scheme ~ "The Spirit of Paul Mitchell" came in 3rd out of 30 racers, and everywhere they stopped the two female pilots got out to a waiting crew of professional hairdressers. You need to quit talking. Your stories are too boring.
  2. Which, funny enough, if how swoop training should be done anyways. Weird.
  3. You had no problems with it. He failed to have it inspected and/or test jump it prior to buying it. He should have been more thorough.
  4. To the OP: Please waste your money and buy new. It allows people like me to go through 12 years of jumping and not buy new gear. I love the discount I get on 1 year old stuff as people feel the need to keep downsizing and buying new again. Now that I am finally near the limits of changes in my gear, I am pondering buying my first custom container ever. I just have to get around to ordering it. /only bought 1 new canopy ever, jumped it for 80 jumps, and gave someone a good deal on it, as I got a great deal on it new
  5. Well, that's probably how they got to 6-10000 jumps.
  6. I wouldn't hang out with a guy who keeps losing at craps. I was wondering who was going to bring that up over here. Now Lucky you should be here rolling with me for luck.
  7. I wouldn't hang out with a guy who keeps losing at craps. I still have my hair asshole.
  8. Hey suckers - I'm in Vegas til Wed morning. I think Lawrocket is here too. Anyone in town that feels like getting a beer?
  9. Jesus Christ Oracle was ballistic.
  10. Yeah, I keep seeing their videos pop up in my news feed and they are doing some truly excellent work.
  11. I do urgent care/ER style work. I see all the upper resp/flu/whatever you can name day in and day out. I wear scrubs from home, to the office, and back. My scrubs are monogrammed with my name and title, and the name of the company. I do this so I don't ruin nice dress clothes in case someone vomits on me, or I get blood on me, or pus, or whatever. If I get nasty shit on me, I change. I don't want to be in fouled clothing any more than anyone else does. When I go home, sometimes I stop by the store - I still am in my scrubs. I assure that I have washed and cleaned my hands, fingernails, etc WAY more than the guy beside you in line has today. I am also conscious of touching/coughing on my hands then not touching food WAY more than the lady who just wiped her toddler's nose then tested to see if the melons are ripe. /med student wear them so everyone thinks they are Drs //WAY more people wear scrubs than need to ///not just for the OR anymore ////AND as I said - the dirty ones, the really dirty pairs, are off of us as SOON as we can get them off. Here's the real question - if I saw patients all day in the office, got sneezed on, coughed on, but was wearing a business suit, what would you say then?
  12. All I'm saying is that El Tour of Tucson is 111 miles... Pretty much what the bike leg of a IM is... Nov 23 If it was closer, and I didn't have to ship my bike, and I didn't like my taint not hurting, and....I might join you.
  13. So ever since a friend of mine got me to run a Spartan Sprint as a race in GA, I kinda have fallen in love with the idea. I just finished my second race, an 8 mile obstacle run up and down a ski slope in VA. I am going to do the 10-12 mile Spartan Race event in Tx in Dec and didn't know if there were any like minded individuals out here. Beuller?
  14. Yeah, that dude had that coming. Pay attention. He wasn't even in his own pit box. No fault on Dixon at all
  15. Turn his ass into the State Medical Board. That is fucking ridiculous.
  16. Agree with more than 1 HnP, but I used the term "performance enveloping" to mean don't just do the turn you usually do. In addition do the snappiest single front riser turn a few times and the slowest, most divey turn you can from deep brakes a few times. This gives you a min and max altitude in which you can complete your turn. A useful dataset to have if, like me, you don't always hit your initiation point dead nuts on the planned altitude. An example of using these numbers for me is that my lowest 270 altitude overlaps my highest 90 altitude so if I am too low for my left hand 270 I'll switch to a right hand 90 to hopefully still hit the gates. Also, the altitude loss data you get from up high will likely be a higher altitude than you will actually perform on the ground, so don't surprised if you come out high the first few times and gradually have to bring your turn back to the ground. However, do not put the cart before the horse and bring your turn down without using your full alti HnP data first. Nothing another couple hundred jumps won't fix.
  17. Because it was that report, and obviously not crashing a passenger airliner into the edge of the ocean that damaged their reputation.
  18. But... it has to be true if they put it on the Internet!!!??! She's not really a French model bro.

  21. You jumped the set up. Obviously you decided for yourself that it was safe to do so.
