  1. Sweet Jarrett. My only suggestions are wear a shirt and shave (if your old enough)! Love ya bro. my pics & stuff!
  2. Yeah, this one took several attempts. It was shot with the 24-105L zoomed in to 105. my pics & stuff!
  3. Anyone know of her or hear from her? Japanese jumper, low jump numbers. Not sure where she jumped at in Japan, I just remember pictures. Since the tsunami, her email address just rejects emails. Not even sure I spelled her name right....pretty sad. my pics & stuff!
  4. I almost always just vacuum out the rig. I think mainly to keep all this shit off my living room floor. my pics & stuff!
  5. Unfortunately, I've had to replace/make 2 of them. And gotta say, I don't recall anything about making that web channel. I need to look up where I got my info. Is that web/channel what's required? I know I got my info from my racer manual but that book was from the mid 90's. Have things changed? my pics & stuff!
  6. There are plenty of reasons people hate racers...and gotta say this is just another reason people will bitch. ***before any of you start to slam me, I have no issues with them...my first rig was a racer. I'm just sayin. When you need a loop made at the last minute....this IS a pain in the ass. my pics & stuff!
  7. Too funny this came up. I had mine removed last weekend after 10+ years of it going through the TSA and not even being questioned. my pics & stuff!
  8. Something like this? http://www.linestretch.net/2008/slides/CRW_8599.html http://www.linestretch.net/2008/slides/CRW_8600.html my pics & stuff!
  9. You have a vector2 with tucktabs & magnetic riser covers? Not calling BS but I've never seen one....nor heard of one being modified (with magnet riser covers anyway). My blanket statement would be freeflying in a vector2 is a bad call. The reserve flap opening wouldn't be my biggest concern. A premature deployment in a sit (due to a sloppy susan BOC & lack of bridle protection) can ruin your whole day...especially if it deploys under your arm. my pics & stuff!
  10. Just curious how far the lens extends into the camera body (I'm not familiar with that lens)? The theory of the mirror hanging up sounds right to me. The -S lenses made for canon cameras extend into the body and can't be used on say a 10D or 5D due to the mirror colliding. Just a random thought. I'm sure this lens is compatable but since it's an aftermarket....wonder how close the clearance is. my pics & stuff!
  11. Ok, for starters....telling the person to grow up? She is a good friend of mine and not an idiot. What was done is criminal. How would you have reacted if it was done to you? The DZ was NOT in Oregon but in Washington...southern washington (state). I will not say what DZ, I'm sure that will come out eventually. She is an awesome person that jumps at many DZ's, but obviously not this one anymore. This was directed to all the nay-sayers (not the op). And for those of you that feel your reputation was tarnished by her letter, you really need to grow up and be more concerned about a fellow jumpers well being and not how others will view you or your company (you know who I'm talking about). my pics & stuff!
  12. I had this happen to me, but I was the TI. Fortunetly, the drogue removed a good portion of the camera flyers helmet so the entanglement ended there. But my gears were turning after that. As for what to do?....hindsight made me think (on the tandem end) was to make sure the RSL was disconnected...then cutaway and release the drogue. As for video? I'm curious to hear ideas as well. Obviously...the 'dont get hit by the droge' comment comes to mind. my pics & stuff!
  13. Thanx for the props. The other methods never worked for me, and this wasn't my first rodeo. I have to give credit to brett thomas from texas on this though. He showed me some vid of how he was shooting daguailo (?) In 2003 I think it was.... (I know I spelled the team name wrong) . my pics & stuff!
  14. I totally agree with the thinking on this but I did it the whole season, 200+ team jumps & all through nationals (got a gold medal too). Just like with any leading exit, timing is critical. The problem I found with just sliding down the side of the plane is that I end up flat (in line) with the formation & it's a lot of work getting back up above them. With jumping out, even when I was too early, I was never flat on them. As for the burble...yeah it got me once...but just once. It's really what works for you. This worked great for me. Oh, I should also add that the team launched the SAME chunk every time, and the count was always very consistant. my pics & stuff!
  15. What worked awesome for me was to lead but instead of just dropping off, I would hop up and push out away from the plane...like here. my pics & stuff!
  16. I think the 110 & up have a smaller thread size. my pics & stuff!
  17. That's really not anything you can put a jump number on. It's all on you and your learning curve and if you have some horrible habits already built in. It could take you another 10 and it clicks...or another 1000 and it still doesn't. Unfortunetly, the budget will get in the way. Keep at it though. my pics & stuff!
  18. what was used to make the slow motion look so smooth? my pics & stuff!
  19. I sold 5 crw canopies to a guy in western australia and used USPS. It took 3 weeks to get there but they got it and were pretty happy. But I also used it to send a cypres to guy in canada & he said he never got it and threatened to sue me. I hate dealing with sending shit out of the country. my pics & stuff!
  20. Glad to have met you bro. Thanx for the ugly ass lime green velcro. It has a lot more meaning now.
  21. I'm pretty sure this can be done through the gopro. Run the video off the gopro and you'll be prompted to repair or do something along those lines. It's happened to me quite a few times. my pics & stuff!
  22. Such a loss. I was just thinking of him the other day...not really sure why but he came to mind. my pics & stuff!
  23. can you elaborate on this? How is this done...and how are the opening? I love the way my VX flys but the opening really suck. I guess my question is about the continuas(?) lines, what is done about the end cells & stablizers? my pics & stuff!
