  1. I had the same problem and found a very easy source by accident. Saw a goodwill and thought if they had roller blades....that had the wratchet...then bingo. And sure enough, 3 bucks for the skates! I cut off the wratchet and now have a few spares. They don't match in color but I could care less. my pics & stuff!
  2. I would be more concerned w/ how this is all playing out...regardless of liking your first jump that you haven't even done yet. If she pulls this crap with this....it will crop up again with something else. 'Choosing skydiving over me'....that's the warning right there. I'd run. (that's 2 divorces talking!) my pics & stuff!
  3. Iwan, that photoreflect is free...from what I can see. What's your thoughts on that one? I do it all myself, and do it all through costco. It's sooo much cheaper, no middleman but I have to do all the running around. my pics & stuff!
  4. Yes, contact them but be tactful. If it was my fuck up, I really hope I would be contacted....and that that person would be tactful towards me. I've had to do the same. my pics & stuff!
  5. yuppers, remember it well. the canopy choice is really what works for you. I've had an FX for 5 years and it's been very good to me. I think the part of the opening that's gonna get you is right when you let go of the PC. If it's gonna rock you, it will generally be then. my pics & stuff!
  6. can you post a pic of what you have? I'm not grasping it. my pics & stuff!
  7. 5) (or maybe 4a) Do regular neck strengthening exercises and always stretch before jumping. 6) Don't wear a pink camera suit. (sorry, couldn't resist) my pics & stuff!
  8. It does have a slot for the cable, but the end of the plug pushes on the clamp...I think we're talking about the same thing. my pics & stuff!
  9. I have 2 switches, one is a cut up canon switch (it has the locking deal on it) & the other is just the plug..conceptus I think? They both push a little on the plug. Granted, I was also putting the rubber cover deal between the plug & the clamp at first....but no more. Not sure why the switch didn't work that one time but seems to work just fine now....though the switch issue has happened more than once. I can't really seem to nail it down. Aside from that, I love the RRS setup. I have it on my tripod as well. Very solid. my pics & stuff!
  10. Sorry, didn't want to the other guys math...so I'm adding to this one. 5600 jumps.. 8 chops/9 rides 24 / 29 my pics & stuff!
  11. That's an issue with my 5Dm2 as well. To the point where sometimes the switch doesn't want to work. my pics & stuff!
  12. well while we're at it, I have 6 I'd like to sell. my pics & stuff!
  13. I had issues with it right off the bat. It would hang up on one shot in the film strip...zoomed in. It would take some patience but it would then change to the next shot but not zoom at all. I gave up after that....though I like the watermarking. my pics & stuff!
  14. I've been using synctoy as well and it seems to work just fine. I think there are 3 different setting...mirror the copied source (so it will remove what was removed from the source and add what was added), shit and 2 other ones that I can't think of. I've been using the one where it just updates what was added but doesn't remove anything. Did I confuse anyone? my pics & stuff!
  15. I know I know. I've known Blake long before sky dive san diego was at nicholes(?) field. It's just fun to fuck w/ him when I can. And yes I know the DZ & website are legit. hi blake! my pics & stuff!
  16. I worked for the same outfit as des but in Guam. I didn't believe it until I was in the same situation. We would work in conditions constantly pushing 20 knots. We had one gal insisting on working for the dz doing outside video. She got her one jump. She came straight in & was the wind's bitch. She was dumped on her ass and broke her heal. It was actually scarrier watching a straight in landing than aggressive flying. Not to mention, you really had to have the good accuracy. There were shaggers waiting to help you when you land and you really needed to land next to them. So yes, I've done them! I'm not advocating them but when you're in the same situation.....the light will come one and you'll understand. With that said...there are way too many TI's that should even be doing tandems, much less hook turning a tandem in. my pics & stuff!
  17. wow! I figured either his retarded low toggle turns, the cigs or the alcohol would kill him. Bummer. my pics & stuff!
  18. Beer! http://www.linestretch.net/published/slides/IMG_7501%20copy.html And I think this is hot! http://www.linestretch.net/2009/12/slides/IMG_8160.html my pics & stuff!
  19. That's my thinking as well. my pics & stuff!
  20. I had my 5D mk2 switch decide to not work in the plane so I shot the jump w/ the HD...pretty awesome colors. I pulled a few frame grabs using the zoombrowser and they aren't that bad...though the manual says you can get 5 mega pix from the grabs....mine aren't that big. If anyone knows a better way to do it...please speak up. my pics & stuff!
  21. and yes, thanx pringles. my pics & stuff!
  22. ummm, I see we'd get along really good. It was more of a rip on myself and my inpatience. my pics & stuff!
  23. doh, found it. Of course, it's NOT under the manuals link but under rigging. So....thank you everyone for all your support...now fuck off! my pics & stuff!
