  1. It's been working for me. The tape on the bracket is pretty darn strong. I would place & let it sit for about 12 hrs (pretty sure the instructions say this). my pics & stuff!
  2. not too many...but I did get 2 in one day! The last save was me! my pics & stuff!
  3. Does it do it when recording to the internal memory? my pics & stuff!
  4. Here you can see that the flash shows it's a 17mm when the diffuser is flipped down (24mm when not). It's pretty much useless unless you're very close. And your right, the flash doesn't match the zoom of the lens when laid flat, but you can adjust it manually. my pics & stuff!
  5. Are you sure about the disabling of the zoom? Mine's laid flat and is generally used with a 20mm, and zooms open to that amount...or it's widest setting (can't remember what that is). Of, if you pull down the dispersing screen, it goes to it's widest position. http://www.linestretch.net/2010/1/slides/IMG_2530.html This was done w/ the dispersing screen down (sorry, sure it's called something else), and you can see there's coverage of my leg. This is a 15mm on a full frame. Diffuser, that's what it's called. my pics & stuff!
  6. You heard wrong. It really depends on the individual and the gear. My rig was sized for me but I still need the bungie. Some people are fine with out, some aren't. my pics & stuff!
  7. I had one with a short in the cable. Conceptus took it back and gave me a new one. Excellent customer service. JJ
  8. Just to clarify you are talking about Vertical Suits...correct? Yes. my pics & stuff!
  9. My girlfriend measured me and she had one of his suits as well. We went over it pretty thorough, but man, the legs were a good 4" too short. That's a huge difference. The stirrups were useless. The quality was pretty good....but the customer service sucked. my pics & stuff!
  10. Wish my experience was like that. He wanted to charge me $50/hr to fix the high waters that I got. I ended up fixing them myself. I won't buy from him again. my pics & stuff!
  11. I had the same thing happen quite a few years ago. It was from the 3-ring pressing on the ratchet. I quickly reached up (left hand) and held the helmet in place as they exited. With the other hand, just re-ratched the helmet. It actually happened 3 times until I realized I can't hang on the way I was doing it. I was stretching out hanging on w/ my left hand and then looking back over my left shoulder. my pics & stuff!
  12. that's crazy, we called them dive bags I guess because we threw all our dive gear in them in the navy. I have 2 that are over 20 years, and still crusty salty...going strong. my pics & stuff!
  13. One of the pack jobs was flat packed...FYI. Yes, both very wrinkly. Both had knots but weren't set. The big issue is these pack jobs have the master rigger's seal on them. I'm pretty sure he didn't pack them. He even commented on that rig where the brake lines didn't go through the slider. His attitude was that the guy that packed it was fired cuz of those mistakes....but HIS seal is on them. It's the same with these that have the long closing loops. He has riglets working for him but very little supervision. And it's been long rumored that he has a black list of riggers and their mistakes. The guy is a dirt bag. The jumpers who own these rigs know all about it now....and really didn't their rigs pictured on here but I didn't really give a fuck. It makes us all look bad. This shit has been brought to his attention before...but he didn't care. my pics & stuff!
  14. I didn't personally open them. But was told that one of them, the spring was basically like a slinky, starting protrude out the side. my pics & stuff!
  15. So 2 rigs came through that had this horrible shit going on. The jumpers really didn't have any idea about how unsafe and unsat this is. Both closing loops were 6" long (from the disc to the end of the loop, about 1.5" too long). This is the main reason this shit came about. How can something this shitty be overlooked? And to add to it, it came from the same master rigger (his seal on it) that this disaster came from. Anyone have any suggestions? (edit to fix pics) my pics & stuff!
  16. Not skydiving but shot at the DZ. http://www.linestretch.net/2010/7/slides/IMG_4315.html my pics & stuff!
  17. I've always done the one hand on each handle routine...until last saturday. I had a violent spinner and the natural movement was the same (my 10th reserve ride by the way). That was until I couldn't cutaway using one hand. My left instinctively reached over & helped out. Once clear from the main, my left hand went right back to the reserve handle & that was that. I had always thought 'what would happen in that case' and now I know. I would say the best option is be prepared for just about anything. It's really what works best for you. my pics & stuff!
  18. I wanted to get stills of my canopy duking it out with the tube. It wasn't as exciting as I thought. Wore the still backwards to get it. http://www.linestretch.net/2010/5/slides/IMG_3982.html my pics & stuff!
  19. Anyone have good pics of how they rigged up a foot attachment for a tube (with a cutaway system)? I'm looking to add that to my tube but would like some ideas. my pics & stuff!
  20. I think they should do away with night jumps for a D license and require a couple of down wind landings. This is something your more likely to have to do sooner or later. A night jump?...not likely. I love doing them too! my pics & stuff!
  21. I agree, customer support was excellent! my pics & stuff!
  22. What and how does the adapter work? Is it just a middle man between the cam eye plug & the half moon? If so, how big is it? I might be interested as well. my pics & stuff!
  23. I use a fisheye on my full frame most of the time and love the effect. It really depends on what your shooting. If you're not flying close to your subject...then yeah, you're pissin in the wind. http://www.linestretch.net/2010/1/slides/IMG_2519.html http://www.linestretch.net/2010/1/slides/IMG_2513.html http://www.linestretch.net/2010/1/slides/IMG_2530.html http://www.linestretch.net/2010/1/slides/IMG_2550.html http://www.linestretch.net/2009/9/slides/IMG_7321.html http://www.linestretch.net/2009/10/slides/IMG_7501.html my pics & stuff!
