  1. you weren't speeding around on Capitol hill now were you?
  2. you forgot to mention that it also wont fire unless you reach 35m/s before going below 130ft AGL. it will not fire below 130ft AGL (or what it thinks is 130 ft AGL) since there is no time for the reserve to deploy.
  3. you might try red and white/red & wyellow/white, since completing the circuit to yellow seems to fire the shutter.
  4. I will be there. haven't decided yet if I'm going to arriving on the first weekend or midweek, but definitely planning to stay till Sunday.
  5. I have had better luck with the Dremel EZ Lock cutoff wheels, buy the starter set ( the quick change mandrel and a few wheels, some are for plastic don't use those on aluminum) and an extra pack of the metal cut off wheels. The tend to stay together much better, without exploding and throwing chunks all over the place. use a lower rpm if the dremel is adjustable, dremels recommendation is 3500 rpm in aluminum. using a spiral bit does not work very well, there is too much side force cutting aluminum. definitely drill the ends and if there is a lot of material drill out as much of that as you can. a good file will be your friend. good luck.
  6. I have a cx7 with the hypeye D pro and the expansion kit. you can take a picture while recording video. trunk did a nice job.
  7. Can I wear my wingsuit? I promise to be good on exit, after the drogue is out what could go wrong?
  8. I had a great time flying with everyone, and would like to thank everyone for coming out and flying, the pilots for giving us the jump runs we asked for and seeing the adjuxstments that we needed, the Kathy and Bill for working us into the schedule whenever we wanted, Ed for setting up the weekend and playing host to the Friday night activities, Kris for the sandwiches and arranging the dinner and Avery for his incredibly generous treatment of everyone. We had two groups who put together some really nice flocks, several people made incredible progress during the weekend, It was a terrific time. I am looking forward to doing it again. hope to see everyone there at Ed's next event.
  9. So do the BMI's and PFI's need to wear body armour? remind me not to sit next one, I'm not that confident in your skills.
  10. the weather forecast is looking good for next weekend. upper seventies and clear to partly sunny. looking forward to it.
  11. 4? that's where I lost count. Flying a stealth and ghost now. the others are usually in the bag, except the crossbow gets left at home.
  12. nice looking suit. and I do believe your new model is a success, no one has asked for the photos to Camposed. good luck in the competition.
  13. In your case, its directed deposited to an airline and several DZ's
  14. If you have the UV filter in between the camera and the royal lens that is why you are seeing the vignetting. you have spaced the lens out from the camera, remove the UV filter and the vignetting will go away.
  15. I want one. spot you need to start using the whip on those guys.
  16. If you don't like my winnebago, I'll just have to make you try to slow down to prodigy forward speeds. As vectorboy said I carry more ballast than he does, a little over 250 exit weight on a 5'9" frame with short arms and legs, I wanted the bigger suit to be able to have some range left when matching up with a flock. My impression after about 12 jumps on it. I don't know how to fly a wingsuit. I can't figure out how to slow the forward speed down to flock speeds and maintain enough lift to fly in the low 60's. but if I just relax and let it fly I'm in the mid to low 40's with enough forward speed to have vectorboy and monkey complain that I need to slow it down. I was amazed at the speed and lift I got relative to the flock when I simply pointed my toes, gaining a little altitude relative to someone else has always been a challenge for me, in this suit the altitude wasn't a problem. Like I said at the beginning, this suit has convinced me I haven't got a clue as to how to fly a wingsuit, but I have had a lot of fun. It is really neat to look down and back at the flock, and at breakoff be able to accelerate up and forward of the flock, some thing I have never done, as several people on here can confirm. Hopefully I can figure out what I need to do to realize most of the potential of this suit.
  17. What I don't understand about this is how if you delayed deployment of your wings for one second you were anywhere near the tail. you should have fallen about eight feet below your exit point in that time, unless you jumped up on exit. I also think the deceleration in the horizontal direction on exit would have put you behind the tail at one second, especially with a higher than normal exit speed. I guess what I am saying is that our perception of one second can be way off, so don't be in a hurry to deploy the wings.
  18. I thought you had hired a better looking model for the new suits.
  19. Thank you to Sara and Jeff for the organizing and to the pilots for working with us on jump runs. Thanks to everyone for the jumps, I had a great time.
  20. Great explanation, and nice to see a detailed straight answer.
  21. as long as the initial approach speed is reasonable, you can fly near me, I tend to just shake off the hits from birds in the formation, and keep flying, ask the NW birds about shaking things off my feathers.
