  1. New meaning to Vidiot coming... I am going to confess my stupidity here for any future vidiots that find this thread... but I'm sure I'm going to get a slew of ... YOu idiot! I called the company and they said they haven't made 2 wire switches for over 2 years. When you cut the wire open to splice, you easily find a RED wire and a WHITE wire. These wires are wrapped in a bunch of bare wires. I have spliced many wires before and figured this was part of the insulation/protection in the wire... To no avail. This is the third bare wire. You have to GENTLY, peel all of these individual wires off and twist them together and you have your third wire. RED/RED, WHITE/WHITE, BARE/YELLOW> Captain obvious chows the pond! Adios and thanks a million!
  2. Thank you... I'm finding that if I go red/red & white/white, and then touch the yellow to either pair, it will fire the shutter... so I believe you need all three as well. When I pair the yellow up to either bundle, it snaps and holds the photo. Are there any switches that anyone knows of that comes with three wires for this configuration? thanks again for all the help! b
  3. Thanks in advance for any help here. I have a Konica Minolta Dimage A2 and I'm wiring it for a remote tongue switch. The factory remote has three wires. Yellow, White and Red. I have a tongue switch that ends with a 2.5 mm plug. I read I could splice anything, so I wasn't concerned with getting a proper end. Perhaps this is my error. The tongue switch has two wires, Red and White. I have wired red/red, white/white and left the yellow of the remote off. It will not work. I have since tried putting the yellow with the other pairs and tried that, to no avail. HELP! Anyone know what to do here??? (I know, I know, get another camera). Thoughts? Thanks, b
  4. I am going to finish tweaking the website soon and letting everyone know what the status is. We have been working very hard at making this happen and I have to thank everyone for their encouragement and support. My name is Brent Kluge (pawnmower on here). I started the idea of Skydive Baltimore along with Flora Uragallo my fiance and business partner. We of course started talking about things long before we were able to open, which any good business would, in order to test the waters. After finding such a large response, we started on our quest to make this happen and have been working almost daily to make this come to fruition. We were told many times, "If you do "this", we would be good to go and start operations"... Our negotiations started with no facilities, expanded into many facilities and then back to no facilities without a long term lease and triple the projected rent. Long story and I will detail things on the website later. The bottom line is we have just about exhausted any and all patience with getting a dropzone going at Harford County Aldino Airport. We did sense some issues about a month ago and started calling about for a plan "B". Seems that this "jumperintheair" doesn't agree with this as a sensible tactic and would like to make an issue of it. My calling around and talking to people has really shown me that there is indeed a need for having a dropzone in our area and we are committed to making it happen. We have met with an discussed various situations with local existing DZ's to operate as a quasi-club until such time that we can get an airport to operate at full time. We do currently have a place that we have an agreement to operate freely and have struck a deal to do our tandems and students the entire season, with promise of possible future developments (more news to come). So once again, thank you all for your support and words of encouragement. We will continue to forge ahead and make strides to bring skydiving to Maryland. Any and all future help is greatly appreciated! :) Thanks, Brent Kluge ps. Jumperintheair... My name is Brent Kluge. You can find me anytime. I would like to know your real name. Hiding from your couch typing trash on here is fun when you don't post your real name. Seems there is no Mike McDemirt listed in the USPA records and certainly not having a "D" license. Your negativity and strange take on things only lend itself to logically ask, "what is your motivation?". I would guess you are an owner or staff at another dropzone somewhere, that doesn't want us to succeed. So, armchair shitslinger, I welcome discussing your problems with me whilst you stand in front of me and perhaps give me your real name.... its much better then going through life being an : http://youtube.com/watch?v=OXRBELZpKak
  5. Long story... we have been working with the airport and unfortunately things don't progress as fast as we would like them. We have made some great strides to open and it seems we are very close to coming to an agreement on our lease and facilities, etc... Our website is being finished at this time, so please keep an eye out for updates this week. I expect we will have some good news very soon! Thanks, Brent www.skydivebaltimore.com
  6. Bram Clement... You just can't go wrong.
  7. We have just acquired 10 student rigs, various sizes, all of our tandem gear (Sigmas) and our first of two aircraft. All things developing well. Look for our doors to be open around the first week of April! Please keep an eye out for our website, www.skydivebaltimore.com in the meantime: www.myspace.com/skydivebaltimore
  8. our website is: www.skydivebaltimore.com but it will not be up and running until the end of the month or maybe into Feb. Just go to the myspace for updates please: www.myspace.com/skydivebaltimore
  9. Hey there. My cell is 410 591 8300. I'm traveling over the next couple days so if you don't get me, please leave me a message and I'll get back to ya. Brent
  10. DZO's Brent Kluge & Flora Uragallo (of TonySuits) are pleased to announce the opening of a new dropzone, Skydive Baltimore!! We will be located just north of the city off of I95 in Churchville MD @ Harford County Airpark (aka Wright/Simmons Airfield). Although we are limited with the startup aircraft we will have( Cessna 182/206 fulltime) we hope to get an Otter by the middle of this season, but that will be dictated by the interest and how quickly we grow our local DZ. Our intention is not to build a tandem factory. Our belief in the future of skydiving is in fostering new interest and in welcoming new students into the sport. We will have all necessary facilities when the doors open in the spring, Office, Hanger for all skydivers w/ seating & video, snack shack, gear shop, shower/bath facilities, camping area (electric soon coming), and many other new developments. Although we will not have a bar or swoop pond, we will have one very soon. We do not have dates yet but will also have a couple dates you may be interested in. First will be an opening boogie! We will have an Otter for the weekend and hope to introduce everyone to real Maryland Skydiving. This site is amazing with incredible views of the upper Chesapeake and Susquehanna River. Just one hour south of Philly, 30 mins north of Baltimore and one hour north of Washington DC., we will have a great pool of skydivers to really have a showing. Its up to us to make a dropzone with a great vibe and a fun, safe environment. Please sign up to our Myspace page for latest news and developments: http://www.myspace.com/skydivebaltimore We will have our website up and running by the end of this month, so please feel free to check back there as well: www.skydivebaltimore.com One last point of interest, we are currently interviewing people for staffing. If you believe you are qualified, have a friendly smile and professional attitude, please contact us! We would like to talk to you. Blue Skies in Maryland!
