  1. If the pilot wants to spend the extra time to fly with the wingsuit he should have no problem matching speeds. I've flown with one from exit down to 8000 ft before he decided it was time to get back on the ground for the next load. If he slides out to the right (gently breaks off) just after the wingsuiter exits and then comes back onto heading, he should be able to pick up the wingsuiter visually himself, and then be able to close back in on the wingsuiter. what the door to pilot headset will allow you accomplish is getting the wing/engine out of your pictures. good luck

  3. I would bet someone did a great job of providing some guidance to the visionaries at Elsinore on this move! Pretty cool
  4. So where are your risers going to get stuck when a deployment is a little bit off?
  5. this is why carrying a spare adapter in the gear bag is a good idea, they are a couple of bucks.
  6. one where they are all docked. the picture is in my facebook with better quality. how are people getting pictures tomeet the size restrictions here? I'm using lightroom and playing with the quality until it mees the size limit.
  7. Scott, the mini works, I have one, but as stated you have to ope the screen power it on, close and tape shut the screen and then hit the record button, the hypeye mini will show blue when powered up and red when recording. I did not test if it shows some other color when things are messed up. the pro is definitely better for the cx100.
  8. sort of yes, if the original recording is done to the camera's internal memory (not to an installed memory stick) you can plug in a memory stick and copy the clip from the internal memory to the memory stick. then you can take the memory stick out and plug it into the second camera. I don't have the camera here so I can't tell you the menu's to go into to set it to record to the internal memory and the steps to do the transfer, go explore they aren't that hard to find. A search on here might even turn up the steps.
  9. I was thinking paintball guns!
  10. from the stills, cropped and reduced in quality a lot to get down to the size limits.
  11. A couple of more photos and the real story. This jump wasn't about the rodeo, it was to end the Brand wars. Each pilot selected their rider carefully hoping they would be able to unseat the others rider and claim final victory. As the pictures show the battle evolved from gentle touches to fierce tugging to all out diving passes and finally an over maneuver was used to unseat the opponents rider.
  12. Maybe with tow camera flyers there will be A picture without purle in it.
  13. I'll be there, getting in Friday about lunch time.
  14. should have been more clear. the state line would have to run down the runway center line, so that the plane would be straddling the line with a wheel in each state. now that would be fun to do, just to see the official reaction! I tried to find the runway on google maps, but could not find it with a quick look.
  15. Nope, you can't set multiple state records on one flight. I had that idea at Pepperell and asked Taya about it. she said the state you take off from is the state you are setting the record for. now if we could find a runway that straddles the state line...
  16. I did not mean for my comments to disparage the transfer, just J'Sho. I love you both! you can ride me anytime! I'll be more picky about letting J'sho go for a ride though. serious suggestions; get the rider up onto the rig, then there is a chance of being far enough forward not to be flying completely in the burble, and have the first pony wear a small suit. I know the result Justin wants, this was a step towards getting there.
  17. I wasn't refering to the Tondra, I was talking about the statement he made on the facebook video after being submitted at the DZ.
  18. sometimes when Justin has his goggles on he sets his expectations pretty low!
  19. just get a canon or nikon, a prime lens or a zoom or use the kit lens, a bite, tongue or blow switch or maybe a hard wired or infrared remote, a camera condom or camera armor, a wobbly clamp or a solid one or just a thumb screw, and stick it someplace on your helmet, throw away the manual too since it will take more than 15 seconds to read it, and you will get some decent photos. If you can't take the time to narrow your search criteria, why should anyone else take time to explain why they have made the choices they made? At least make your question a little more clear. do you mean abuse during the skydive (wind and moisture) or do you mean abuse by skydivers (banging it into things, dropping it, opening it up in dusty conditions)? I don't recall anyone complaining on here about any brand of still camera failing because of the harsh conditions a skydive exposes the camera to, when they use a little bit of care.
  20. Great shot. You can see the dialog that is going there. "Where's the DZ?" "It's back there!"
