  1. Is it nice to have a Cameye in your helmet when freeflying with a camera on your head (ie - not professional photo work, just messing with video)? I am ordering a Rawa, and I am just wondering if it is worth it to put a cameye in it. It seems like a cool feature to have, are there any drawbacks? ...FUN FOR ALL!
  2. Bump.... Will be considering video camera in a few jumps... What canopy would be better than my Sabre 150? I am thinking of going to a Sabre 2 150, would this be advisible? I don't get what I would call slammers on my Sabre, but I do get some brisk ones. What canopy, other than Sabre 2 would be recommended? I would like to go elliptical to some extent, is this OK? ...FUN FOR ALL!
  3. I don't currently have an RSL because my new rig did not come with it. I have not put one on because it is my feeling that I should not rely on a piece of equipment to replace my emergency procedures. If I cut away, it should be drilled into my head to pull the reserve handle, immediately. If you one is flying a safely sized reserve, should he or she have to worry about line twists? ...FUN FOR ALL!
  4. Maybe it has to do with the amount of taper in one's legs. ...FUN FOR ALL!
  5. My Mirage G3 does not have the little bungee between my leg staps and it needs it. It has the fully articulated harness, and when I transition between HDand sit, I can find a leg stap under my knee. What is the easiest and what is the best solution? It doesn't even have loops sewn into the padding to start with. Can I just sew on some loops made out of seam tape or closing loop (pull up chord) ribbons? ...FUN FOR ALL!
  6. Anything wrong with keeping a gun readily accessible with a loaded magazine equally accessible but not in the weapon? I don't have kids to worry about yet, and I like having a weapon accessible in my house, but if I have to run to the bedroom to get it, I would surely have the time to insert the magazine and ready the weapon. I have yet to come up with a preferred method of storing my defense weapon, and I am always open to ideas that make it as safe as effectively possible, and accessible. ...FUN FOR ALL!
  7. I think this thread got hijacked by the Tandem Chasing topic... ...FUN FOR ALL!
  8. I had a reserve repacked and didn't check the pin when I jumped (same day). When I inspected the reserve pin before jumping the following day, I noticed a significant amount of fraying on the closing loop. I was advised not to jump it, and when notified, the rigger never owned up to it. ...FUN FOR ALL!
  9. Is there (should there be) a list of skills or abilities that one should possess before strapping a camera on their head? Like canopy flying or starting to freefly, some people are more capable at lower numbers than others, true or false? What would be on the list of things to practice or skills to have before flying with a camera? ...FUN FOR ALL!
  10. Both appear to be awesome, but expensive, helmets. Ihave seen the RAWA first hand, but am looking for other inputs for preference or comparisons. ...FUN FOR ALL!
  11. What is the point of switching wrists? I always take mine off, no need to know time while I am jumping. ...FUN FOR ALL!
  12. I am not very current on the facts, issues, etc that put us there (other than the whole WMD, crimes against humanity, UN inspectors, etc), but is there evidence that we have religious motivations in the Mid-east conflict? ...FUN FOR ALL!

  14. I have seen a couple helmets that have an integrated D-box for a PC 105. What are the names, models, etc of these helmets. Any opinions on the fit of PC105 appreciated as well. ...FUN FOR ALL!

  16. For some of us, the idea of using our guns against anybody is just not there. Many of us use them for recreation...hunting, target shooting, pointin' em in the air and makin' noise while campin'...etc. Wouldn't you be a little pissed if the government came into your house and counted your soccer balls....er footballs?! ...FUN FOR ALL!
  17. In building an L-Bracket, what is the best solution to deal with the potential interference with the zoom toggle, and the little hand strap bracket that sticks out farther than any other part of the camera? I have heard that permanently removing the hand strap voids the warranty...True or false? ...FUN FOR ALL!
  18. It closed at $665 (which I thought was good), and I bought a .43 wide angle for $60 and an extended warranty for $50 and I paid a little extra for Next Day Air. But the camera and shipping would have been $695 with bag, 3 tapes, cleaning kit, 64 MB stick, stick reader. Not too bad. ...FUN FOR ALL!
  19. What are the advantages of upgrading. I am still running 10.1.? and considered Jaguar and now Panther, but am not sure if I need to. Does it cost$$ for the OS? When I was looking at doing it, it was $60 or something to get Jag. ...FUN FOR ALL!
  20. I just received my new PC-105, super bitchin!! I have a while before I can jump with it, but I am stoked to have the cam. I bought it through an outfit on Ebay, and got it and a bunch of accessories for under $800. Just wanted to share the info and the stoke!! ...FUN FOR ALL!

  23. I have used a Boeri since I started and have put a hundred and 20 jumps on it and noproblems. I have an old school dytter mounted to the outside, and a pro track on the inside. There was enough room in the ear padding to cut a whole and stuff it in. Hoalla, a dytter pocket! ...FUN FOR ALL!
