  1. If they were practicing instrument flying, they should have thrown it in Auto Pilot and gone for the back seat! ...FUN FOR ALL!
  2. I would say go bigger than the "big" example. You don't want a cute fringe across your shoulders. You are getting a TATTOO! Go as big as you can get to fit. It wouldn't hurt to make it a little bolder as well. Or go with the Head down guy, as big as you can on your lower leg. Just my opinion, but of the tats I have, I wish I would have gone bigger on all of them. ...FUN FOR ALL!
  3. Quality Mirage! It is real! ...FUN FOR ALL!
  4. As I always it seems like personal preference. I haven't heard anything good about the super...whatever-bands, but I do like tubestows and rubber bands. I have a couple of both on my bag, and I like stowing in the tubes better and they seem to hold nice for now. As with any part of you rig, regular preventative maintenance and thorough inspection is what keeps it fresh. ...FUN FOR ALL!
  5. With a fallrate like yours, you don't need to ff! RW would be super fun if we did it at 180! ...FUN FOR ALL!
  6. I am wondering where I can get an escape chute for my cubicle. I am on the first floor of a metal building with no windows, but if I have to "escape"....can I PLEASE jump!? ...FUN FOR ALL!
  7. Is that a dz in Hawaii or Arizona... Although there is not much within a hundred miles of either ...FUN FOR ALL!
  8. Labrets look the best on both genders, the mole thing is ok, but usually not complimentary to the face, the nose would look good on the right face, Eyebrows, neck, and other surface peircings tend to be rejected by the body. It is no fun having a piercing of any guage catch a piece of clothing...I had my apadravia (see Genetile Piercings) catch my boxers when I was skating, and it pretty much convinced me to remove it. So choose wisely! ...FUN FOR ALL!
  9. With 60 jumps, and on the gear you are flying, I really doubt that you have had a line twist that put you on your back and twisted up your risers. If you had, you would have never started this post. Make sure you look cool, and you will never have to worry about mal ...FUN FOR ALL!
  10. How many people out there actually use the psycho pack or some variation? Is there anything wrong with the psycho pack: is it dangerous, does it put wear and tear on the canopy or lines, is it a pain in the arse? ...FUN FOR ALL!
  11. I used to be in the piercing industry and we made really cool stuff out of Titanium. Bright colors, fades, rainbow, whatever...It is a little costly, but when you are spending a cool 4 grand on your rig, what's another couple hundred? ...FUN FOR ALL!
  12. I recently finished puttin together my own freefly suit! I am pretty excited at how it turned out, and all of my friends were pretty impressed. The fit had to be modified a little after the first test flight, but over all it is bada@%!!! It takes some time to figure out, but if you have a sewing machine, it is a fun project. ...FUN FOR ALL!
  13. I understand the manufacturers recommendations being so low (they have to protect themselves), but it seems like alot of skydivers are hypocritical when it comes to experience vs. wingloading topics. I am new to the sport, but I have yet to see a small skydiver that owns his own gear have anything larger than a Sabre 170. In fact why is it that every where I have been the only people flying 170 or larger are older JMs with 3000+ jumps? Is 1.25 to 1 really an unsafe wingload for a novice jumper with a conservative canopy flight? Should a 165 lb skydiver (190 lb. exit wght) fly a 190 sq ft. or bigger canopy for the first 100 jumps? Should beginners stick to F-111? Is it safer than ZP? Inquiring minds want to know! ...FUN FOR ALL!
  14. What does this have to do with canopy progression and wing loading? ...FUN FOR ALL!
  15. No, I wasn't implying that they are unsafe, I am not qualified to pass judgement... I am simply saying that saving 50 bucks or a hundred bucks is the last thing on my mind when I buy gear that my life depends on. Besides...If your gonna downsize and get a new rig within a couple hundred jumps, buy something that you can resell for near what you bought it for. ...FUN FOR ALL!
  16. Food for thought- Your rig is what keeps you alive everytime you jump... Do you want cost to drive your decision? How fast are you going to progress in the sport... You might want to consider getting a Great container and a good used canopy. There are many good deals out there on top quality used gear. This is not a sport in which you would want to sacrifice for cost. Good Luck! ...FUN FOR ALL!
  17. Sorry, This is reference to the guy who did 500 jumps in 24 hrs. I read the CNN and Guiness links...unbeleivable! ...FUN FOR ALL!
  18. Can anbody explain how he made a jump every 2.9 minutes from 2100 ft.? ...FUN FOR ALL!
