1 pointReminds me of the skydiving "experts" who post on Facebook who see a high performance landing fatality and say "look it's perfectly simple! His shoot didn't open when he pulled his string! It was whoever packed his shoot that is to blame here."

1 pointI cleaned up the ARINC transcript so they aren't all crooked and gross looking. ARINC-Transcript.pdf

1 pointThe pull of disinformation seems to grow year by year. I'm worried that ChatGPT and other such information summation and modification tools will drive people susceptible to b.s. even deeper than what FOX does. Imagine tens of Brents, dozens of Slims! All operating to overpower common sense.

1 pointYou're a bloody genius, you are. Who possibly could have arrived at that conclusion with as little as 250,000 years of human reactions to use as data? Whether or not AGW is real or not isn't decided by how may Bubba's want to roll coal instead of electrons. Seriously, more seriously than the last times I told you, you need to get a job. You need to get out and travel.

1 pointYeah look at that massive jump in 2020; whoever was president then sure was doing a shitty job

1 pointRight. All of those parts have proper names. None of those proper names include the word 'joint'. And while the trigger does 'control' the hammer, I've never heard of a part called the 'trigger control'. Kind of like how you can spot a whuffo because they use incorrect terms, you can spot a 'firearm ignorant' writer the same way. I'm not saying the report was incorrect, I'm saying the news story had a lot of terminology errors. Not unlike the news reports of airplane or skydiving accidents. That's why I'd prefer to see the actual report, not just news stories about it. Not super likely, but it's really hard to figure out what happened & why with crappy information.

1 pointSpaceX does things differently. They prefer rapid design & testing and learn from their many failures. NASA does the opposite, probably because it's a government agency. Each has its own merits. I have no doubt that we will see significant improvement in the next Starship test flight. We have some important dates - Artemis II is scheduled in November 2024, and Artemis III is some time in 2025. It's an exciting era. To the Moon and Mars!

1 pointPoland is anxious to give their MIG-29's to Ukraine. They have something like 44 with 30 flying. They are planning on replacing them with F-35's. Poland is a long time NATO partner. I see no downside to putting 30 F-16's flown by Americans in Poland to facilitate the transfer. That would be the fastest way to give Ukraine air power, seems to me.
