I'd suggest anyone erring on the side of innocence re: the gesture, go look at the video again. He turns his hand inwards so it still makes the ok shape, but it is not presenting remotely in any way that anyone would ever ACTUALLY use an OK gesture. He knew exactly what he was doing.

We can be pissed that trolls co-opted an innocuous gesture, but that was the whole fucking point: It gained traction with actual white supremacists because they can use it with impunity and when they're called out they'll get tons of people defending them because it COULD be innocent.

The knee on the neck itself probably is not trained.

I did a quick search for arrest techniques when the subject is resisting.

This is the first that popped up.

You don’t appear to mind the cops doing the running over and shooting? Trump and his goons keep escalating the violence. Civil unrest is messy, of course there are bad apples involved in the protests. But I’ll also say that when peaceful protest is ignored and oppression continues people tend to turn to violence.
