  1. Shhhhhh, the sangi has spoken. There is nothing else to be said. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity
  2. So already there's fine print. Just the niche market, and nothing else, even if used for jumping? So if someone has, say, a skater or ski helmet they used for skydiving, no discount? BTW, time was when many many thousands of jumps were made in hockey helmets. I guess no discount for those, either, eh? Fuck me...Dude get an Act.. The man is offering a discount if it's not to your liking piss off and pay full price somewhere else. ETA I jump Cookie helmets, so not kissing up to BH, just responding to Andys shitty attitude. Don't mind him. He's a troll which probably also means he's a damn good lawyer, but only mildly amusing here. Now Sangi on the other hand. He's the skygod of trolls! What say you, Sangi? Blue skies, Keith Medlock
  3. We should make Sangi a moderator! Blue skies, Keith Medlock
  4. Or less little fokkers like Sangi. What you say is reflective of your knowledge...HOW ya say it is reflective of your experience. Airtwardo Someone's going to be spanked! Hopefully, it will be me. Skymama
  5. Really? Dude there are people at my DZ that jump Sweet Hog's still and they are in great shape. Hell Cliff Schmucker (owner of SSK) jumps a Sweet Hog. Sure they made them but he still jumps it. Sorry Sangi.... I do not normally rag on you for some of your stupid comments but this one is just ignorant! Life is all about ass....either you're kicking it, kissing it, working it off, or trying to get a piece of it. Muff Brother #4382 Dudeist Skydiver #000 www.fundraiseadventure.com
  6. And Sangi would say he did give you the bowling talk, and you should have listened scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
  7. sangi ??? did you give give CSpenceFLY the bowling lecture???? Gimme a break !!! he makes a valid point about potential for problems with these mini cams and of course YOU have it ALL figured out.... and criticize his sensible words... that's rich!!! jmy
  8. See sangi, once again you don't know what you are talking about. Silent Pumpkin is actually only 2' tall and that is the smallest rig Kelly has even made or can even be TSOed. She tried to pack Luigi's 37' into it, but it still looked a light tight, so they had to get the 21-21 out of the closet. Pumpkin, of course I'm kidding. For all except the part about sangi not knowing what he is talking about. And the rig looks schweet. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity
  9. @ Sangi: Now you know ;) Awesome, makes me want to see the DVD yet again :) "In a mad world, only the mad are sane"
  10. Sangi, Should there be ANY rules for skydiving? In other words, say someone who has never skydived before goes to a dropzone, says I'll accept all risks, I'll do a solo jump so I can't hurt anyone else, just give me the rig and let me go. My life, my choice. Should there be a rule against that? I'm going to assume you'd say yes. Now, someone on solo student status says, I've passed 8 levels of AFF, stood up all my landings, I bought this rig with a Velocity canopy for cheap. It's a little smaller, but I can handle it. How hard could it be? Should there be a rule against that? Again, I assume you'd say yes. Then a newly minted A-licensed jumper -- 25 jumps -- says all right, I've got a license. Give me my camera and a wingsuit, I wanna make a youtube video! Should there be a rule against that? If you have answered yes to these questions, would you say you are trying to take away these people's fun? Additionally, if you are answering yes to all of these questions, it sounds like your problem is not that there are rules, it's that you disagree with the content of the rules. But then you're no longer arguing that there should be no rules on downsizing, or no rules on jumping camera, or a wingsuit, all you're arguing about is the content of the rules. SIM says 200 jumps for camera, you say it should be 100 (or 50). 200 for wingsuit, you say 150. Etc. Or perhaps you're saying it shouldn't be number-based, it should be based on demonstrated skill. So instead of lashing out that people are "trying to stop everyone from doing what they want to do" or trying to take away their fun, why not put forth a cogent argument on why the limits should be lowered, if you feel they should be, or that the content of the rule should be changed from jump numbers to demonstrated skills or whatever?
  11. 9 times out of ten, the agility of the Vette to get you out of trouble is because you got too close to it in the first place. Not that I'm against downsizing; just do it for the right reasons, and not specious ones. And, to Sangi -- don't be the "wanna demo a Velo with 100 jumps" guy either
  12. Your new wing loading would be well within what most people consider acceptable. Changing from the 9 cell Sa2 to Pulse or 7 cell Spectre , the flight characteristics will be different in opening speed, glide and flare. And each a little different between the two. Not huge, but enough that you should try and demo them both to find your preference. Both would make excellent WS canopies. Whichever you chose to do first (downsize or WS), be confident in the flying before you make the second change. Splitting your attention between both at the same time is not the best idea. I realize that they involve two different parts of the dive, But knowing how the canopy is opening just by how it feels without having to watch it is a good thing to have when in a wingsuit. Also, you wouldn't want to mistime your flare and get your new wingsuit dirty due to a botched landing. Oh, and don't mind sangi. He really is harmless. Kind of like that little annoying dog that pees on the carpet, barks at anything that scares him, and chases his tail when bored. But we keep him around because he makes us laugh. 50 donations so far. Give it a try. You know you want to spank it Jump an Infinity
  13. Three points: 1. Nobody here can give you a good answer unless they have seen you fly. 2. Your numbers seem reasonable for a 170 according to the "accepted" limits, and you're doing the right sort of canopy drills. 3. Ignore Sangi, he adds no value to any discussion I have ever seen him comment on. Other than that, what is your reason for wanting to change wing? "The ground does not care who you are. It will always be tougher than the human behind the controls." ~ CanuckInUSA
  14. Flocking can be done with good glide ratios and at bad glide ratios. When it comes to wanting to see something different than what you see other people do, lead by example. Dont just be a grumpy old grandpa commenting a football match allong the sideline..show us how it should be done... As to the original post, before it went off-topic in a (sangi)predictable way.. Congrats and welcome to the flock..mighty big wings.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  15. Sangi, Really, I am curious. What pleasure do you get in coming around here and posting foolishness like the above? Why the juvenile behaviour? Curious also, how many "real flying" jumps do have on a wingsuit? Anyway, I'm going with the classic...
  16. hey sangi what is "real flying?" to you? im a freeflyer that happens to also enjoy staying up for 3min+ as far as i can tell you just like falling, not flying. i appreciate many different disciplines in this sport: canopy "flight", wingsuit "flying", free "flying", not just falling from the sky, but actually using the skys energy to create flight. quit being such a troll and go jump...... we all know you and your ways. Is it troll feeding time again? They get hungry so fast... Blue skies, Keith Medlock

  18. To the OP, Really Nice looking suit, Have fun.. To Sangi: What is it with the hating on the Flocking. Just showing his nice new suit and you go "there" crazy..... why don't you just revive one of the many "Flocking is not Real Flying" threads.. Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  19. thats not comforting. lol i dunno i did a search and looked up shoulder injuries on the forums cause well...i made a post about my shoulder and of course i got advice but also people said "search for shoulder injuries" like sangi's sig of your quote says, "reading around here teaches mostly three things: "use the search-function", "you will die" and the classic "you're an idiot"!" seemed a lot of people either did PT and got better or had surgery then did PT and got better. i know just PT won't help me, i've already tried the gym and built the muscle...i'm sure that's the only reason my shoulder hasn't actually dislocated yet. and there were a few cases where nothing helped, i just hope i'm not one of those! i don't want to be manifest bitch Sex with sith is like sex with a stripper. A lot of flashing lights and waving of glowing sabers, but in the end you end up with something dark and wrinkely. DPH# "-13" TSK# "-13"
  20. Everyone: Stay on topic and check yourself if you feel the urge to tell someone something that meets the criteria for a PA. Sangi: Put yourself in check, you're on thin ice not only in this forum but on the whole site. Chose your words wisely from now on. I'm tired of the BS people, grow up and post the way you would want people to respond to your posts. I have the ban hammer out and several of you are looking like nails. Note: If the shoe fits, wear it. Everyone else please continue with the topic of discussion. That is all.
  21. you say that like he's some big expert now. just because he's got more posts doesn't mean he's got any more experience. yes, people are gonna diss someone who doesn't jump but acts like he knows it all. eli, how come you didn't get spanked with the same rude replies when you were new here and asking silly questions? why didn't I get the same treatment when I firs t got to this forum? a lot of people are greeted with respect and get nice comments, and so did sangi. like Matt, I too was intrigued by your post and did a search. plenty of people were super nice and spent so much time writing long informative replies to sangi's first posts here. go see for yourself. but when someone starts acting like a troll, he'll get the replies he's seeking... and let's face it, sangi trives on stirring shit and pissing people off. don't go ruin all that for him now :)
  22. I didn't made a search. I mainly just heard what Sangi himself told me. And I fully agree with you on the V3/loaded handgun comparision. Again, I share my opinion with you on this one. I don't see why someone would get offended by that. Just to be clear, a skygod for me is someone who has just made like his 500th or something, can go HD and starts saying to instuctors at the DZ with 1000's of jumps that their method of teaching is wrong and that they should listen to them. The skygods you are refering to are, in my opinion, not skygods, but guru's :) Those are IMO the people who don't have the ego's and have all the knowledge and will always be opeen to help other people become safer in the sport. "In a mad world, only the mad are sane"
  23. Absolutely true. But the website IMO does have something to do with it, be it indirectly. Some remarks that people make (and I'm not specifically talking about anyone) are quite rude. I hear people saying how they'd love to get more people in the sport, but how is that gonna work if some of the experienced jumpers on DZ.com keep 'dissing' them, being basically rude etc. It demotivates people to continue jumping IMO. And that I find really sad. Agreed. Well, I'm not saying that it's the skygods who are to blame for this, definitely not. You're right, it does seem a bit offbase to say that. It's just that people who have more experience, and act like they know everything (a.k.a. some skygods, not all of them, actually I shouldn't have said the word skygod, that was wrong on my part, it's just some people who think or know that they're the shit who give him shit I think) who acted condesending towards him. That I would not know. I can't read Sangi's mind
  24. Wrong, I just searched for Sangi's first posts in the WS forum and he got polite responses to the first dozen or so easy answer questions he asked. The first one where he was unhappy with the responses was when he asked: "What will happen if you put a 100 jump wonder in a V3?" Which honestly is about like entering a handgun forum and asking: "What will happen if you give a 5-year old a loaded gun and send him to school?" I mean, WHO KNOWS? Nobody can predict the future. Maybe nothing will happen in either case, but the person asking either question obviously knows that it is a bad idea and against published recommendations. Both questions are silly, and both questions are disturbing because they make you worry about the thought process of somebody who would ask them. So when people POLITELY responded to Sangi asking how many jumps he had, and where he jumped so some locals could answer his questions in person, he got offended. If you get offended because people are honestly concerned for you, and honestly trying to help... that is your issue. Silly skygods... trying to offer good advice. www.WingsuitPhotos.com
  25. I was/am one of those "skygods" that called sangi out on some of the misinformation he was spewing. Giving an opinion on something he has either no or very limited experience is the problem. The fact that he reacts in a negative way to being told he was flat out wrong is his issue. Not this website. My responses are direct, but not rude. Some members here don't sugar coat their opinions. Giving ill informed opinions that can hurt someone is not taken lightly. But saying it is the fault of the "skygods" that he was pushed to make the posts that he does seams a bit offbase. He does it because he likes the responses. The only reason I continue to respond and feed his trolling is that some other new visitor to the site won't actually listen to, or at least will question, the drivel that he writes. I would have no problem hoisting a frosty beverage and talking to him face to face. He might realize that those he tags with the name of skygod is as far from the truth as you believe he is that idiot. Or maybe sangi and those other posters are both right after all. I am a SKYGOD and he is that IDIOT. Only time will tell. I have to admit, me being considered a skygod makes me chuckle. 50 donations so far. Give it a try.
