Hey all, I am trying to locate a friend of mine that has re-married and has a different last name (that I dont remember) I have moved since the last time we spoke and lost her number during the move. Her only relative I knew was her grandma and she passed on a year ago..... She has lived in Montana for the last several years and without her current last name I am stumped...... why do you want a Removable slider? It won't do a thing to improve your swoop, and takes longer to pack*** The slider on my FX is way too narrow, once it is tucked behind my head I have difficulty in looking up and behind me, plus I fly CRW video from time to time and if its completely out of the way it would be easier to get the great shots. today in preparation to sending my old non-airworthy stiletto 135 to another jumper for a wall hanging I cut off every line attachment point on the canopy to insure it doesnt fly again.......I cant believe it actually bothered me to do this.....It opens like a sledgehammer, and It has four cells that are in various stages of failure, the other five are not far behind, Its useless..... so why does it feel like I betrayed a friend....... 1): dress for success. you may need baggier jumpsuits... your partners may need tighter if your fall rate is higher than theirs 2) it If you fly your body, (ie; anticipate sinking, as soon as the grips drop flatten out..... you may pop up a bit, but its easyer to go down to someone than it is to go up. 3) what is the skill level of the other jumpers?....if they are around your level your success rates wont be that great, nothing against you or your partners.... but at your level of skill, your bag of tricks isnt anywhere near what it will be in another 1000 jumps....... 4) Never give up, keep at it....... each jump, even if you think the jump is a waste, somewhere in your subconcious you learned something, and one of these jumps, you will go up and shit will flow soooo smooth, you will be high for a month....... have fun; Roy They say I suffer from insanity.... actually a bluegill is a predadory fish, they have a sharp horny ridge (teeth) and will try to eat just about anything they can, but usually they stick to things around their own size..........are you sure someone didnt drop in a couple of pihranna and they bred? They are either insanely hungry, or you just taste good... NICE............. If your local bent bike shops dont have a tank and dont have internet access to other parts shops and their inventorys, give Rods cycle salvage a call in Yakima Wa. He can usually find anything. I dont have his number just off hand, but you can get it with directory assistance, its a very nice bike......... Where are you looking when you come in to land? if your looking down your depth perception isnt as good as when your eyes are on the horizon.... where your at do you have access to a canopy camp? with a good canopy instructor you may find it easier to learn. What kind of 9 cell canopy are you jumping? Shall I ask my rigger to make steering lines shorter?*** This would probably be a bad Idea as it would be easier to stall if you flaired too high... on my 172th jump I broke my ankle because I did not flare fully in unwindy weather.... *** keeping your feet and knees together with your legs tensed in preparation to a PLF if the flair is less than perfect will help prevent injuries..... wishing you the best, it would be a pity to quit the sport because of this..... I hope you can find the key to perfect tip toe landings

Just curious if there are more people who don't know how many jumps they have quote] I know my numbers are around 300-500 short, after my 1000th jump I didnt log for almost a whole year......lazyness I guess, once you have enough jumps you cant recall each specific one anyways....(I cant anyways) and it didnt seem that important, I have since kept better records of my dives...
