hmmmm, 6 of one, 1/2 dozen of another...... serious now, both have pro's and cons. pro's. -the silver handle allows you to get the bone structure of your hand (ie- the thumb) into the pull decreasing the chance of slipping off during a hard pull. -soft handle is less likely to be scrubbed off. CONS -soft handle could be more trouble if you for some reason have a harder than normal reserve pull. YES YES...I know....there is a mandated maximum pull force allowed.....but this is the real world and shit happens.... - silver handle, snag hazard....... toes, feet, hands....etc all can easily grab it.... **edit to add** BEEEEEEERRRRR **** and---- added, I have seen a soft cutaway pillow scrubbed off once, so soft handles are not a complete cure-all....... I had Lasik in 2001 and it was the best money I ever spent on myself hands down!!! I couldnt see the windsock untill 100' without the glasses, my eyesight is 20-15 in one and 20-20 in the other, Enjoy!!! its a really neat feeling to realise that you can throw the contacts and glasses away.... Yet people spiral down to my level, and then gripe about me being in their way on final approach. Doh! *** When I am flying video for tandems I usually pull around 4-5000' (depends on what alt the tandem pulls at) If you fly a large low wingloaded canopy and pull at 2500' or higher and fly a relatively relaxed pattern (ie: no spirals), I can easily join you without my doing a single spiral, my wingloading is 2-1 and my canopy is quite ground hungry when the brakes are released. BUUUUTTT......you are low and slow, and unless the rules have changed that means technically you have the right of way..... I hook when I can, and dont when there is traffic, I hate when I have to land "normal".... but I dont bitch about it. Roy They say I suffer from insanity.... But I actually enjoy it.

Her only relative I knew was her grandma and she passed on a year ago..... She has lived in Montana for the last several years pretty self explanitory, I think If you were really good friends, then you probably knew her family or some of her other friends. Call them.
