  1. The guy interviewed in the article has a PhD in Information Management and Systems from UC Berkeley and is a leading expert in voting machine fraud. http://gawker.com/5958114/an-expert-weighs-in-on-that-viral-reddit-voter-fraud-video It's also been discussed on some of our school's internal mailing lists where Joe goes on: On Tue, Nov 6, 2012 at 1:28 PM, Joseph Lorenzo Hall wrote: These are 10-20 year old voting machines and their touchscreens regularly go out of calibration (due to being jostled, temperature variations, etc.). So, it happens all the time and it's usually reported to us at Election Protection (I'm at the national command center in DC) as angst-filled "vote-flipping". This can also happen because people lean on the screen and have a thumb on it or if people (mostly women) have very long fingernails... my moment of celebrity today on this: and in response to a technical question below. Some of these older touchscreens can have dead spots where the resistance or capacitance (depending on what kind of screen it is) varies dramatically in "zones"... without tearing it apart, it's hard to say which. I don't want to say that this isn't malicious, because it would be very hard to prove one way or another... On Tue, Nov 6, 2012 at 4:32 PM, Kuldeep Kapade wrote: One technical question Joseph, how is it possible the calibration will be off for only a part of the screen and not consistant through-out. Its common for cheap components to go off calibration, but to my experience it always is consistant through-out the screen due to the software and hardware issues. 2. Except that a fire management assistance request is not a state of emergency or state of disaster. It is a release of funds to help states fight fires. 2011 was one of the worse years in a while. http://www.fema.gov/fire-management-assistance-grant-program I guess that pointing out that the previous administration had about the same number of declared emergencies and fire suppression request on average as Obama, wouldn't really matter to you. And they're also counting each instance of a particular disaster in those totals. Take Sandy as an example, there are 3 disaster declarations (one for NY, NJ and Conn) and 12 emergency declarations ( Most of the NE US states, including the 3 states mentioned above ). Hurricane/Tropical storm Irene had 12 Disaster declarations and 15 emergency declarations I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. 4. which leads me back to my original question, "Which is wrong, the thread title or the article?" MAybe YOU should have read it.. I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. eat sushi, get smoochieTTK#1
  5. The thread title says "every state that elected a republican Gov". The R's won 24 governorships in 2010. If we're to use just the "gains", the R's netted 6 governorships in 2010. I'll have to look again but I think R gained 9 new governors but lost 3 in other states for a net gain of 6. That doesn't add up to 17 either. I think it's safe to say the title for this thread is obviously wrong ( or at best misleading). Now it's a question of whether the article is wrong or misleading as well. 6. Your posting lists 17 states that elected a republican governor in 2010 yet I count 24 states that voted for a republican. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_gubernatorial_elections,_2010 Is your title wrong or the article you quoted not accurate? 8. The article was also stating that we are conserving a lot more, are getting better returns from fracking, and have been changing our reliance on gasoline for the better. In fact, a lot of the suplus oil is now being shipped overseas. I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. eat sushi, get smoochieTTK#1

  10. So basically, the Mythbuster folks were holding that cannon sideways when they shot those 2 houses, and minivan? No. It's just their natural style. Had gang-bangers watched 'Mythbusters', they would've learned that holding a pistol in that manner, is far less accurate than holding the pistol in the 'proper manner'. Basically, they are wasting lead. Chuck I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. eat sushi, get smoochieTTK#1

you can easily get saltpeter on ebay. Supposedly sold at your local wally world as well. Having a large stock of saltpeter would be essential to surviving. You would want a lot of it to cure meats since there likely won't be any refrigerators you can use. I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. 12. Why not? The Republicans don't have to compromise on anything. They're going to get their cuts and no new taxes and all they had to do was sit back in their chairs and cross their arms. Apparently, quite a few towns have passed ordinances restricting protests in response to WBC http://www.4029tv.com/r/24250225/detail.html http://www.reviewonline.com/page/content.detail/id/541905/Council-looks-into-ordinance-to-limit-protests-at-military-funerals.html?nav=5008 http://vlex.com/vid/funeral-protest-ordinance-enjoined-67132849 Ok, it's my "opinion" that if there were an ordinance passed in response to a WBC protest in Brandon, we wouldn't be talking about it now Didn't we also have "protest centers" when Bush was in public? IIRC, the protesters were allowed to gather only in preapproved areas that were usually out of the way ok, I see that you're trying to make the point that it never happened in the first place I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. my point was that the town (or county) did not make an ordinance to either require a permit or to regulate where a protest could be held. I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. eat sushi, get smoochieTTK#1

according to another article I read, the county decided not to pass an ordinance making a "permit to protest" necessary. Instead, they just messed with WBC. source: http://blogs.pitch.com/plog/2011/04/mississippi_town_gets_rough_wi.php I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. 18. How is TARP adding to the budget deficit? It's projected to only cost ~25 billion to taxpayers. 22. True, but you are related to him and aren't obligated to address him formally. Same as with some of the faculty I am friends with, I call them by their first name, however if I am talking about them to a 3rd party who would not be considered a friend, I address them with their title. @Andy, I wonder if that has anything to do with the Barister title not being used any longer ;) I promise not to TP Davis under canopy..
