  1. Again, you're using data for a 7 sq mile penninsula and calling it the "Bay Area". That would be the same as taking the data for buying a condo in Manhatten and applying that to all of NYC. And for what it's worth, I bought a house a little over a year ago for under 400k. I am solid middle class and my net pay is about 3/4 my gross. To be fair, I am legally a single parent so I tend to have more deductions. I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. eat sushi, get smoochieTTK#1

  3. I was reading somewhere that the grandstanding by Ted Cruz was more about building his warchest for a possible presidential run than actually trying to stop ACA. So I guess you can't call it pointless since he has an objective. I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. eat sushi, get smoochieTTK#1
  4. And the irony of the impending shutdown is that it won't stop the ACA launch http://www.theatlanticwire.com/politics/2013/09/how-government-shutdown-will-affect-obamacare-launch/70021/ I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. 5. The bay area is a lot more that just Silicon Valley (South Bay). Concord is a 40 minute commute into downtown SF. Median prices are half what you posted. http://www.realestate.com/results/CA/Concord/ I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. eat sushi, get smoochieTTK#1
  6. There's definitely some type of record of his arrest. Seattle PD are saying he was arrested in 2004 and admitted to detectives that he shot out the tires in an anger induced blackout. I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. eat sushi, get smoochieTTK#1
  7. the media is reporting that the suspect was arrested in Seattle for opening fire over a parking dispute. Would that arrest have prevented Texas from issuing a concealed carry permit? I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. eat sushi, get smoochieTTK#1

  9. Sorry but Dell desktops are manufactured overseas. "Assembly of desktop computers for the North American market formerly took place at Dell plants in Austin, Texas (original location) and Lebanon, Tennessee (opened in 1999), which have been closed in 2008 and early 2009, respectively. The plant in Winston-Salem, North Carolina received $280 million USD in incentives from the state and opened in 2005, but ceased operations in November 2010, and Dell's contract with the state requires them to repay the incentives for failing to meet the conditions.[40][41] Most of the work that used to take place in Dell's U.S. plants was transferred to contract manufacturers in Asia and Mexico, or some of Dell's own factories overseas. The Miami, Florida facility of its Alienware subsidiary remains in operation, while Dell continues to produce its servers (its most profitable products) in Austin, Texas. Nixon was impeached for obstruction of justice, not for spying on the DNC in the Watergate hotel. In fact, it is generally believed that Nixon did not order the breakin nor had any prior knowledge it was going to happen. I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. 11. I'm only responding to the "Obama says FU to the law and courts". My point is if the govt identified the problem and took steps to fix the problem, they are not saying FU to the law and courts. 12. Where does it mention that the communications are being screened? In fact, the articles says the opposite "The officials said the bulk of the information was never accessed or analyzed." The article also goes on to say that the data was deleted soon after. I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. eat sushi, get smoochieTTK#1
  13. Yet the article says that the NSA and Justice Dept are the ones who brought this problem to the FISA court, and that NSA changed procedures a month after the ruling. "A month after the foreign intelligence surveillance court's ruling, the NSA revised its collection procedures to separate the transactions most likely to contain the communications of Americans." How is Obama saying fuck the law then? 14. Actually, this might help illuminate a point that the whole Obama birther thing passed over entirely - if he had been born in Kenya would it actually have mattered? Would not have mattered at the Dems said it didn't matter. In fact, Dems sealed records until after he was elected. well duh!!! 15. again, 2012 was one of the top 10 hottest since record keeping and all 10 occured in the last 12 years. Ok, I'll give you that each and every year is not hotter than the year prior for the last 10 years. However, the temperature is trending higher on average and 2012 was hotter than the 2 prior years. And are you really going to believe "climate blogger Pierre Gosselin" who has degrees in CIVIL and MECHANICAL engineering over NOAA scientists? That's like taking Quade's posts as gospel because he runs his own twitter feed. (No offfense Paul ;) I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. 16. Who's doing the twisiting here? There's these little parts your article failed to mention from the NOAA report. and so 2012 was one of the top 10 warmest years on record but is on the lower end of the hottest on record in the last decade. And that somehow confirms that there is no global warming? I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. eat sushi, get smoochieTTK#1
  17. WTF? They didn't riot, dude. Your racist fantasy didn't pan out. Maybe next time. While I wouldn't call events full scale riots, Oakland CA has already seen some looting, fires and assaults by TM supporters "protesting." Except for the fact that Oakland protestors don't need a reason to riot/protest. It's such a common occurrence, some businesses have put brick walls behind the street glass to prevent the looting. It also doesn't help that Oakland PD is a mess. A federal judge had to appoint a special director to oversee reforms within Oakland PD to deal with racial profiling issues that haven't been resolved in almost a decade. They also had to contract with CHP to help with daily police work. And to top it off, no one seems to want the Chief of Oakland PD job. I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. 18. Actually, I seem to remember the guy had a prior and wasn't supposed to own a gun in the first place. His argument for appeal was that he only had gun "parts" as the gun wasn't assembled yet. Found the article, Mr Darwin Candidate was trying to build an AK47 http://www.sfgate.com/crime/article/6-year-sentence-for-do-it-yourself-AK-47-4211555.php I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. 19. They would most likely still be illegal in Ca, even if they were printed instead of bought. I can't find the article, but a guy recently lost his appeal for building a banned AR-15. Then again, the stupid fool offered the gun to the cops when they asked him if he had any guns on the premises. I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. 21. Correct, but a bit of a cop out. There are measures that could reduce the frequency, the severity, the probability, the possibility of these types of events. Do you think it is warrented to explore that, or do you view these incidents as a price to pay for a so called free society? Not a cop out Just being real What are the measures you see working ? I've been reading this for the last few days hoping to see something positive come out of this discussion. I am dismayed how many knee jerk reactions there are on both sides. I personally do not believe that banning guns would have prevented this massacre just as much as I doubt allowing concealed carry would have prevented this from happening. So again, what can we do to prevent this from happening 10%, 50%, 75%? I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. eat sushi, get smoochieTTK#1

  24. It's already happening. My campus PD has an "active shooter" seminar they give to faculty and staff It gave us tools on what to really expect and how to react, even how to disarm a shooter if your life depended on it. On a side note, they refused to use the names of historical active shooters such as in Columbine or V Tech. The reasoning is that the shooter most often does this to gain the notoriety of being known as the person who did such a disgraceful act. I promise not to TP Davis under canopy..
