You should talk to your doctor. Any information you get on here will likely be very general, or even wrong, and may not apply to your situation. "I fly because it releases my mind from the tyranny of petty things." - Antoine de Saint-Exupery

I've watched that a few times today and laughed every single time. "I fly because it releases my mind from the tyranny of petty things." - Antoine de Saint-Exupery

Thanks for the clarification. I was a little confused when I first read it. I'm heading home to spend a few days with the family. "I fly because it releases my mind from the tyranny of petty things." - Antoine de Saint-Exupery

Get one that's taller. That way it will only meet two of the criteria. "I fly because it releases my mind from the tyranny of petty things." - Antoine de Saint-Exupery

Congrats on finishing AFF! I'm happy to see that the door monster isn't as frightening as it used to be. It's also great to see skydiving duck with a smile in freefall. "I fly because it releases my mind from the tyranny of petty things." - Antoine de Saint-Exupery

I followed the Mirage measuring guide when I measured myself and it worked well for me. I was very careful and made sure to take each measurement at least twice to ensure that I got the same value each time. Have you looked at your altimeter during a malfunction?
mrubin replied to jwynne's topic in Safety and Training
When I had my only chop (jump 16), it was spinning line twist. I was pulling high and knew I had plenty of time. I don't remember if I checked my altimeter, but after I was under my reserve I still had plenty of time to fly the canopy. More recently I was on a wingsuit jump and opened with line twist. My canopy was flying stable, I just had a couple twists in the lines. When I was unzipping the arm wings, one of the zippers got caught. I checked my altitude, airspace, and location and knew that I had some time to deal with the zipper before it became a big issue. It took a little time, but I was able to free zipper. The whole time I kept checking my altitude and airspace. "I fly because it releases my mind from the tyranny of petty things." - Antoine de Saint-Exupery -

I'll definitely apply when I meet all of the requirements. I've got the education done, now I'm just working on the required work experience. "I fly because it releases my mind from the tyranny of petty things." - Antoine de Saint-Exupery

Great job! Don't worry about the nervousness caused by the door. That's totally normal. The door used to freak me out too, especially when I was the one opening it. Over time I got more comfortable with it and now I have no problem sitting on the floor next to the open door. Hopefully the weather will cooperate this weekend and you can finish level eight and maybe even get a solo jump in. That sounds like a pretty cool design. When you get it all set up, will you post it for the rest of us to see? "I fly because it releases my mind from the tyranny of petty things." - Antoine de Saint-Exupery

I recently got a good deal on a Contour and am wondering if anyone has created a chest mount for it and if so, how well it works. I jump a full face helmet and am less than thrilled with the mounting options. I do a lot of RW and am a beginner wing suiter, so the camera will not be used on a wing suit jump for a while. I'm not hoping to get incredible video, just something that I can share with my friends and family who are interested and possibly use in a debrief of some coach jumps. Eloy is great and would be good for the winter. Florida dropzones are also a good bet. Perris Valley and Lake Elsinore have pretty good weather year round. You have a lot of options. "I fly because it releases my mind from the tyranny of petty things." - Antoine de Saint-Exupery

Great job! Staying relaxed is key (easier said than done, I know). I always take a few deep breaths right before climbout to help me relax. "I fly because it releases my mind from the tyranny of petty things." - Antoine de Saint-Exupery
