  1. Auburn won, 28/27. Now I have to put up with shit talking from my Auburn friends and family for the next year. With that said, it would be nice to see Auburn go all the way.
  2. How about 6 jumps over the North Pole at 10,000 feet. The coldest I saw was -54C. It was much warmer on the ice cap...only -40C. That's cold! When was this?
  3. Who's watching it? This year's Iron Bowl is bitter sweet. If Bama wins, we won the biggest game of the year and have braggin' rights for the next year - no title games. If Auburn wins they go to the SEC/National games. Not saying we should lose, but......it would still be nice to keep the SEC/National Championship in state again. What do ya'll think?
  4. That's cold! I've never really been in weather conditions that cold. Other than layovers, the coldest weather I've experienced was in South Korea - 2004. It was probably 15F, but flying straight from the Philippines where I had spent the past couple months in 106F made it seem worse than it was. Edit: The ad to the left is for Columbia cold weather gear and shows a dude buried in snow freezing his balls off.
  5. I think you're unduly discounting those raised in very strict Baptist or Pentacostal families, or very strict Catholic families (especially outside the US), or very strict orthodox Jewish families. No, I'm not. Judaism, Catholicism and Christianity definately have an abundance of people who take the bible at face value in regards to the treatmeant of people (punshments, laws, etc...). I could care less if someone thinks the earth is only 10k yo; it's the medieval treatment that many Muslim-majority countries impose on people that puts Islam at the top of my list. For the most part, countries with a Christian majority have moved with the times. However, in Muslim-majority countries there are still many archaic practices that are accepted by a large majority of the people (child marriage [rape?], stoning, death penalty for adultry and conflicting with the government/Islam). The number of Muslims who accept such standards are far more than the number of Christians and Jews. I guess you could say it is a difference in culture/society, but when Islamic law comes to play it really is hard to pinpoint a root cause being anything other than the religion. I would too. The six million+ Muslims that live in the U.S. (and Europe) don't accept the more extreme parts of Sharia law. It would be interesting to know what they think about child marriage, the ill treatment of women, and some of the norm practices going on with Islam. As Andy pointed out and what I've already known, the same goes on with other religions; it's just more widespread and accepted in Islam than in Christianity.
  6. This is not a dig; but I respectfully suggest your comment stems as much from the universal human tendency to be culturally myopic as anything else. Islam dictates more hardships on people than any other major religion, especially on its followers. If Christians had the same religious fervor it would be the same here.
  7. Boortz has his head so far up his ass its crazy. He's using the Bill O'Reiley tactic of talking over other people to shun them out. Yeah, fair and balanced Religion should not be used to gauge a person's character, but I think Islam is definately the more fucked up of all Abrahamic Religions.
  8. They should rename the movie to Denzel Kickin' ass for 2 hours!
  9. ****SPOILER ALERT*** The new Harry Potter sucked balls! It was like Lord of the Rings part Deux. All they did was walk around the woods for 2.5 hours and argue. Ron Weasley bulked up since the last film and Harry was a whiney bitch. I'm surprised Ron didn't beat the shit out of Harry with his new muscles. The only thing remotely good about the whole damn film was Emma Watson, she's a hottie. [insert wand joke here]. Edit: I'm a Potter fan, read the books, and liked the other films. Hopefully part two will be better.
  10. Point Break's a good movie, I've always liked it. Johnny Utah: I can't do this. Bodhi: Yes you can, who knows, you might like it. Johnny Utah: Bodhi, this is your fucking wake-up call man. I am an FBI Agent! Bodhi: Yeah, I know man. Ain't it wild? That's what makes it so interesting. .....[snip].....
  11. Say it ain't so???? That movie was on point
  12. 1) Flying the Mexican flag = acceptance, exercising the 1st. 2) Flying the American flag = creating tension, told to take it down.
  13. I was super impressed with the AI in combat training. After a couple days of playing, I like the MP on Black Ops. I like a few of the maps on MW2 better, but the good outweighs the bad. Single Player sucks, but that's not why I got the game
  14. Yeah the whole point is system is good to go. But, for some reason, I'm not feelin' the maps on multi-player My favorite MW2 maps are the big-ass house and the airport. There's nothing similar to a "defend the castle" map on this game. Is there?
  15. Not allowing CCW/CHL on campus is probably one of the most moronic moves any school administration could make. What does not allowing CCW/CHL achieve?
  16. . Well, since the wife is currently out of the states for a bit, then yeah. I guess I won't be getting laid Call of Duty it is!
  17. Call of Duty Blacks Ops hits shelves at midnight! I'll be at Gamestop for the Star Trek Convention, err, I mean the launch party. COD fans, what are your expectations? Funny clip http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OnsQQyqNT7U Official Launch Trailor http://www.youtube.com/user/CALLOFDUTY?v=OPTOVQFRggI&feature=pyv&ad=7163181812&kw=black%20ops%20trailer

  22. I voted Libertarian -- Redpath is VA's 10th District. My next choice would have been Wolfe (R).
