wouldnt simply mandating an FFC with a legitimate signature to jump a wingsuit at all dropzones suffice? alot of places wont let you jump WS unless you have 200 jumps and a valid FFC signature, but most definitely not everywhere mandates this................. part of the FFC's should be at least one or two simulated wingsuit exits with the instructor keeping a keen eye on making sure the student keeps their "wings" closed on exit before they are actually allowed to jump a wingsuit............. thoughts? gravity brings me down.........

ive done the exact same thing. however, my next step is to route a cable through where the gopro screw normally goes, with a handle on one side of it that is velcroed flush to the side of my helmet. this way i can yank the cutaway handle and let the camera jettison straight up in the event of a snag. im planning on mounting tiny arms in front and back of the camera to keep it from pitching forward or backwards...............i will post pictures as soon as i modify the mount and build the bracket. gravity brings me down.........

im curious: if i pay for the excel basic canopy flight course on thursday, will that be enough to get my canopy proficiency card signed off, or is that something that i have to do with a one-on-one coach? gravity brings me down.........

no i do admit, i am absolutely honored and very blessed to have the opportunity of free education. there are people in this world who would give their own limbs to have the opportunity to go to college. i am very thankful. im just trying to figure out what i really want to do with it so that i can utilize it in the most efficient manner.......... i need to start brainstorming thoughts and plans on paper. gravity brings me down.........

ill tell you whats killing me, is that even though i have the opportunity to go to any university that will accept me, for free, for 36 months, i have no clue what the F i want to do for a career...............im 33 years old and get bored with things quickly. im sure maybe there are others around my age with this problem, but i dont know. i thought i wanted to become a chef, so i wasted 40k on culinary school and burnt out on that career after a few years. now im an electrician in the coast guard, and its pretty fun, so im gonna try to get a job with the power companies up north, but im not sure if i really want that. i could go to school with the GI bill and get paid to learn, but i literally dont have a clue what i would study. at some point in your life do you just pick something and roll with it? this sucks gravity brings me down.........

thanks for the heads up.......what ive been doing is starting the turn with harness input as well as riser input at the same time.............next jump i will crank my riser and then try to bury all my hip weight into the turn and see if i can keep going........... gravity brings me down.........

ok so i did search the forums for AOA and wingsuit AOA, and all i could really find were some threads on atmo as preparation before wingsuit flying, so im gonna ask my question in tracking lately, i went from doing nothing but flat tracking, to slightly bending at my hips, which gives me a massive speed boost and seems to make my tracking more efficient without sinking...... does this technique go the same for wingsuiting, if you are trying to get maximum forward speed while not sinking out of the sky? if you are in a de-arched position flying your suit, and you slightly bend at the waist to tilt downward, will it increase speed and lift? cheers gravity brings me down.........

i have a sabre1 150 loaded at 1.4........ i like it, its quite docile and i flare and land it great, but i definitely find that front riser turns build up IMMENSE pressure and i can only make it through a complete 360 degree front riser turn before i have to let off the fronts....... will a sabre2 at the same size have lighter front riser pressure because its semi elliptical? how bout a spectre in the same size? gravity brings me down.........

so i now have 6 jumps on my skyflyer1. i am stable, on heading, and so far have been pulling nice and stable as well. i know this isnt alot of jumps but im going to keep cranking them out.......... I understand that this is not the best choice for a beginner suit, with the whole skinny legwing issue, and that they can get unstable easy, but for now its what ive got for the next few months until i bank some money away and get a custom fit suit............... so my question , is it possible for a newbie wingsuiter to learn to fly the shit out of a skyflyer, in a bunch of different flight configurations, and get competent enough to step up to say a T-bird or S-bird? am i going to be learning bad habits on the skyflyer? im thinking about really cranking out 100+ jumps on my skyflyer over the next couple of months but i dont want to be picking up bad flying habits early on flame away, shoot me advice, anything is good. thanks in advance gravity brings me down.........

Sounds a lot like you and Kallend are the drama queens. The drama mostly seems to be centered around money, BOD meetings and 'records'. Avoid those things, and you'll see the wingsuit crowd is nothing but awesome people. firs, errrr.........second, time ive ever experienced an ASSCRACKER of an opening.............sniveled for about half a second and opened instantly........ sabre1 150. it hurt, and i saw stars, so I IMMEDIATELY dropped it off with my rigger to have a pocket installed on the slider.........problem solved gravity brings me down.........
