  1. I need a more exact description please!
  2. Hm, well if she's REALLY dirty that might be okay
  3. Thats what you get for going to Jersey! We flew 18 loads on Saturday at THE RANCH! Me: :3:0
  4. Holy crap, I wish I could have been in your coach course!!! You must be exhausted after that...
  5. Well it wasn't a back stab it's just that I like the DZ's here in the US more for a bunch of reasons. Yeah I wish I could have come to some of the parties!
  6. Well that's mostly because Wissota is awesome though
  7. Hey I just saw you are from Wissota! The Swiss DZ I was at seemed packing wise (it sucked balls in every other way compared to Wissota) pretty much the same. Everybody packed for themselves.
  8. Hehe two problems with that. First off it costs more then 6 jumps! Second, the tent is 14*11ft
  9. Oh and I forgot to add, I had around 2k pack jobs at that time and still everybody seemed to be incredibly paranoid. Don't think somebody with just 100 pack jobs will be very lucky in getting pack jobs. The only thing I ever got to pick up was either brand new canopies or huge canopies in tiny bags that sucked to pack too much even for the Swiss. The days I went, i payed more in gas to get there then I'd make.
  10. Look at the rain fly on that tent - it's mostly worthless. It leaves too much of the sides of the tent exposed to the rain, and where the rain hits those areas, it will soak through. This is a tent pet peeve of mine - many makers produce small rain flys to reduce weight and bulk, but then they don't do the job. I've spent nights huddled in a corner while rain blows in at an angle at the other side. I've spent nights where my air mattress ends up floating like a raft in a pool of water inside the tent. I like a good rain fly. That one isn't. Yes, they're not designed for that. But if you're willing to spend that much money to have a ready-set home each weekend, it's worth it. It all depends upon one's personal finances. It's a lot of hassle putting up a tent every Saturday night, and taking it down every Sunday. If a $150 tent will last all year, that's only $3 per weekend, and may be worth it to throw it away after a year, to avoid that hassle of making camp and breaking camp each weekend. The Blue Sky Ranch has a patch of woods where dozens of people do this, with tents scattered everywhere in the woods, that serve as a weekend home. Yes, a good tent will have fabric zipper closures to seal off the mesh windows when desired. I have several tents that I use, depending upon the season and the application. My summer tent is all mesh, which allows a cool breeze to blow through on hot summer nights. But it's not a good winter tent. And likewise, a sealed tent can be great in winter, but leave you sweating all night in the summer. Yes I will have to figure something out with the fly but I think it will be no problem with a tarp or two. I definitely think it's worth pitching a tent and leaving it up for the season. It's way too much of a hassle to build it every time I go there (which is every weekend). My old one would have probably been fine but it snowed way before I expected it (and could take down the tent in which I was still sleeping in November) and that pretty much destroyed it.
  11. Hehe lol yeah an acutally closed tent would be awesome!
  12. That's a great idea I've thought about that but the problem is then my queen size mattress won't fit
  13. If I believed in hell and condemned thousands of people to die from aids, I'd be really fucking afraid...
  14. Sweet my gf just ordered me one of these! http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000N58EXW It will house my queen size mattress with memory foam and 3 comforters!
  15. Hi guys The new season is here and last years tent didn't survive so I'm out looking for a new one. Anybody have recommendations? Needs to be: Waterproof (it will be in upstate NY) Big (at least 5+ people) Durable (I'll leave it up all season) Thanks!
  16. The Ranch is definitely the top one. Awesome view over the Gunks and when the leaves change in fall, it's just fantastic. Definitely the best vibe with Skydive Wissota being a very close second and Z-Hills a distant 3rd!
  17. Tried to pack in Switzerland last summer and it fucking sucks. Just the idea of people packing for somebody else seems to piss the Swiss off... I did it for like three days (most packjobs I got in a day were 4) and then gave up the idea. Definitely not the way to make money in Switzerland.
  18. You might have to reconsider your hiring process... You AND they should know if they want to do the job in question before you hire them.

Well I didn't want to publicly say this as now everyone will do it, but it does makes it a lot easier to find them at night in the barn...

  21. You dont have to pack for yourself to know about gear! I dont pack for myself but i do check out my gear and untwist my brake lines all the time. I have watched my rigs assembled and helped do maint. on them. So dont make a BS blanket statement that if you dont pack for yourself then you dont know about/ or maintane your gear Lol, somebody has a lot of sand in their vagina...
