The only canopy I change my packjob for is a Sabre I were I role the nose. All other canopies I pack exactly the same. (Pro pack, no rolling the nose and I do not push it in).

Empuria in Spain should be a good place and the weather is decent year round.

When I show people how to pack this is my way: I jump my rig and drop it at the end of the day, get a beer and watch the newbie pack it. That way I get a free pack job while I drink a beer, don't waste any time during the day to teach how to pack and the pack job actually gets jumped so I can tell the student how (or if) it opened. I say go to your DZ and offer people to pack for them for free in trade for being watched doing so. It might be a little tough to find somebody as some people are picky about who packs their shit, but I bet somebody will say yes.

Never said you were wrong, just thought the change of mind people seem to have in the instructor vs. WL debate seems to be interesting and noteworthy.

Kind of ironic that everybody is always all over the: "Ask you instructor" line but as soon as it's about WL, everybody seems to know better then the instructor. On Topic: If you have a gear store on site, ask them for a demo. They will generally have contacts with the manufacturers and should be able to get you a canopy to demo it. If there is no store, just call up the manufacturers and ask them to send one straight to you. That way you can actually try a few canopies (for a very small fee, usually a fraction of what a rental would cost) and then get to buy what you like most.

It's never to cold to jump, you are just not dressed warm enough. Last winter we did a jump at 0F on the ground and we went to 8k in a 182.

Just saw one yesterday and it looked like the perfect camera sizewise and for swooping a pond. Haven't seen any footage yet so can't comment on that.
