  1. I'm hands off my rig to. I also pack for myself and i'm anal about everything and the last thing i want is for someone to interfere with my main/reserve tuck flaps and possibly bridle. If someone say noticed a tuck flap had became dislodged or the pc was half out of its pocket etc then its perfectly acceptable to inform the jumper and assist with remedy if required to do so. At the end of the day if you're comfortable with your packing and equipment then the choice of a pin check is purely personal preference. .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.
  2. Use it alot, for example when i'm being verbally abused to the point where i'm considering violence i re-tort: Do you take me for some sort of c*$t The answer better be no, at that point. Or one of my favourites is the line ' Bag of c*$t ' As bad as it gets .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.
  3. It's true you should always plan, and i ritually go emp's on the plane every jump prior to exit. .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.
  4. I'm more nervy doing hop n pops, less time, but at altitude i'm like a greyhound in the traps can't wait to exit .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.
  5. Pretty sure it's Mirage that offer discounts, good rigs to
  6. Random friend asks: How much does it cost you to jump? Me: £20 Friend: Thats cheap. Me: But i may jump 5x in a day. Point is skydiving isn't a cheap sport but i sure feel privileged to be able to be a part of it .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.
  7. They're all good. Currently jumping a G4 all mods...great rig, but hopefully taking delivery of a V3 Mircon within 2wks.. Pretty much comes down to what you like .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.
  8. Fly free Eli .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.
  9. My technique is to fly in a stand "trying" to get my arms by my sides and simply fly/balance on my hands. Love the feeling. Earlier attempts of the technique resulted fish tailing, even fell off the positiononce. Not good .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.
  10. I feel your pain... sometimes a jolly good kicking is what is in order .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.
  11. Hey ho. Not to worry.. speed is something i go for on my occasional/rare solo jumps. I only do head up, excess of 1000 jumps on my feet! My previous max was 238mph now i've got to exceed 259mph head up to beat my personal best cheers T. .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.
  12. Strange question! But, have you asked for your money back and you return the incomplete rig... .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.
  13. Does anyone know if there are different categories: For example head/up down position, fastest flatflyer. Are weights allowed..... etc.
  14. Personal best hit this weekend 259MPH. Head up
  15. All in good time, everyone's different... In addition to some very good pointers contained within 'this thread' stay calm and remember not to hurt yourself. I've been jumping the same canopy for approx 800 jumps and i still and still feel there's more to be had... i.e mastered, it takes time .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.
  16. Because i have a perfectly good parachute. .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.
  17. it's possible the fflyer was sliding down the jump run. Especially if practicing hdown or back sliding in sit without regards of heading i.e not 90degrees to jump run. .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.
  18. You really don't need a X-brace. Point being they're designed for experienced 'swoopers' who are at the top of their game and probably wont fly too well at light WL's. I don't think anything can be learned/gained from flying such a wing unless you are the above and into the swoop comps. SabreII,SafireII of an appropriate size maybe wiser choices. .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.
  19. Check out a previous thread started by Andy Copland and titled Canopy suggestions .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.
  20. Personally i use the 'pull the risers apart and kick in the opposite direction of twists technique'...rarely get line twists tho,i think twice in the last 500 jumps. .CHOP WOOD COLLECT WATER.
