Yes, that was quite a win! As much as I was pissed off last night, I'm glad that other countries are starting to win the WJC. The US with 2 recent wins and now Russia, it's good to spread it around a bit. I think it makes for a much better quality of hockey. As for last night, I think that Canada has 20 good minutes, not 40 like everyone else is saying. They looked weak in the 2nd - even though they did score. Their power play was sloppy and they let themselves get drawn into focusing on making the big hit instead of what kept them dominate in the first period. You could see Russia literally take the game from them.

Yeah, I know it's a bit of a bump.... I've just been diagnosed with an L5/S1 disc herniation. I've been coping with significant back pain for months, but the other day while lowering the toilet seat (seriously...), it went nuclear. After much morphine and anti inflammatories, I'm somewhat back to normal. I see where a lot of people ask about whether jumping after this is possible, but at this stage I'm just wondering what lies ahead in the way of physio. Both the triage nurse and the ER doctor mentioned 'intense' physio. How long am I looking at here? Maybe buying that ski pass a couple weeks ago was a bit ambitious. Anyone who has gone the physio route with this type of condition - any input you have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hey, Anyone seen this concert yet? No matter what you think of him, he put on a fantastic show. The visuals were outstanding, but most of all, the sound was spectacular. Well worth the price, in my opinion.

You have no idea of what I'm able to accept. I accept that was a completely douchebag thing for the CBC to do. However, they were outed and they publicly apologized for it. Do you know of any news agency that hasn't been accused and found to have distorted the news to suit whatever agenda they might have? Personally, I could use a shake up at CBC. I can't stand Neil Macdonald - the chief Washington correspondent. He is far to anti American to be even remotely objective. Are they left of center? Yes, of course - so is Canada. So are most new agencies. Do they distort news to suit their view of things? Absolutely, as many do. Better yet, how many news agencies would publicly apologize for the misrepresentation. In regards to your other thread, it certainly wouldn't be Mr. Hannity (but that's right, he's not news, he entertainment....)
