  1. Taken back in 97ish. The tri by side flew amazingly. No tension what so ever... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PORpQ3VeYJU
  2. No more than yourself. And I still am interested in you answering the question. (sorry, not buying this Lucky styled backpedal) Clearly you have no idea what you're talking about. I've never - ever backpedalled on this or any forum. Here's the 'side' I'm on... The one that doesn't formulate opinions - or for that matter - back up their opinions with 1 minute YouTube videos. I prefer facts and rational discussion rather than knee-jerk reactions to something so incredibly one-sided. I would hold either side in the same harsh light if that is the way they believe people will be educated on the global warming controversy.
  3. The original post was showing the ignorance of one side...I was countering it with the same level of simplistic information. You're awfuly self-righteous, aren't you?
  4. "This bill opens the door and invites the entrance into the political field of a power so vast, so powerful as to threaten the integrity of our institutions and to pull the pillars of the temple down upon the heads of our descendants."
  5. Ah. I think bill thought you meant a remote - as in a remote control.... I'm guessing you're using a CamEye on the PC330, correct? I don't think that will work on the CX100. You'll need to get a HypEye D. Especially seeing there is no external On switch on the CX100 unless you flip open the view screen. The HypEye will turn it on for you as well as being an indicator. Welcome back to video!!! Get out your credit card!!
  6. The top right one is Mickey Mouse... with a odd white birthmark shaped somewhat like the province of Quebec!! (I need sleep!)
  7. dude, if a bacon mug full of cheese doesn't 'back you up', 8 months of rations sure will!!
  8. It is interesting to note that it seems only the US does not have laws directly targeting hate speech. Most other industrialized nation has some sort of law prohibiting this exact thing.
  9. Of course the law includes hate speech directed towards Americans...
  10. Given the fact that he's been very forthcoming and has been listening to people and changing things that have been pointed out, I'd give him the benefit of the doubt if he said he no longer dealt with Skyride. Edited to add: You say that no one knew he took SRGC. How do you come to that conclusion. I'm guessing quite a few people knew - probably most of the staff at his DZ knew, definitely his closest competition knew. Other than that, who you expect that he has the responsibility to inform?
  11. Maybe because these are the guys they hired? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GlMRD2mj5OQ
  12. I understand. And I think that is what the law says. It protects it in so far as it remains a 'mere expression of ideas'. When this teacher's case went all the way to the Supreme Court, they ruled that much of what he said was covered under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms - but inciting violence was not covered by the Charter and therefore fell within the laws covering hate speech. Edited to add: Clearly Coulter's speech would have never crossed the lines into hate speech (as defined by the CCC). But let's remember..her own security team cancelled the event - not the university - not any protest group.
  13. Not quite that simple... It only criminalizes it if it: - advocates genocide - incites public hatred in such a way as to breach the peace I dont' think that Ms. Coulter could realistically fall into either of these categories Like was mentioned, there was only 1 high profile case of this in Canada. A teacher was teaching his high school students that - among other things - Jewish people created the Holocaust themselves in order to gain public sympathy. He was convicted, but never served time in jail (1 yr suspended sentence, 1 yr probation and 200 hrs community service). This was a security decision - not a direct attack on free speech.
  14. One thing is for sure.... You won't find that in any restaurant where you're going!!
  15. I'm not sure why, but it lines up fine when I view it.
  16. Coulter's speech in Ottawa cancelled amid security concerns
  17. I guess that is what passes as rational discussion in this forum....sad really....
  18. So we as humans haven't had/don't have/will never have any effect on the environment - no matter what our actions?
  19. You really love to fly off the handle don't you... People are quick to point out the snow in the northeast and the temperatures in Europe. I'm pointing out that it was 4 degress warmer on average across the entire country this year and the least amount of precepitation in recorded history. Nothing more...nothing less. I think you could use one of these
  20. And meanwhile, in Canada, we've had the warmest, least recorded snowfall winter in history...
  21. Ahh. Right, I forgot about Keegstra. But I think that his conviction was upheld by the SCOC, but Zundels was overturned. Keegstra's conviction was on hate and fell within section 319, but Zundel conviction was on publishing false information. As I mentioned, that law was deemed unconstitutional by the SCOC. He was convicted twice (first time was thrown out on a technicality).
  22. Holocaust deniers have been jailed - but that's been for publishing false information (subsequently, those convictions were overturned by the Supreme Court of Canada as being unconstitutional). I'm not sure of any high profile cases regarding hate speech convictions. Crown Prosecutors seem leary about charging people under 318 or 319. That is to say they will charge them, but usually, the charges are reduced to something less severe. It is interesting that there is a case right now of a university student Salman Hossain. He openly advocates the killing of Jews, Canadian soldiers and Canadian politicians. This has been ongoing for the last 2 years, yet the law doesn't seem willing to proceed with hate speech charges.
