  1. Thanks. First I deleted my cache, cookies and history. Stopped getting the pop ups. Then I ran S&D and nothing was found. It's odd that I only got the pop up when I visited dropzone.com...
  2. Is anyone else getting these Scorecard Research pop ups on every page change/refresh?
  3. Does this not work today with the Aboriginal Justice Systems that are in place in many provinces? Wouldn't that be considered two justice systems? Playing devils advocate...can we not integrate sharia law as was done with aboriginal justice?
  4. That was Jive, not ebonics. Is there not some sort of conversion course that all the jive-speaking officers could get their ebonics endorsement??
  5. He would have been 58 today! Listening to his music all day today. Absolutely classic...
  6. I guess it depends on your age. As a kid travelling with your family, then I wouldn't expect them to talk directly to you. But as an adult, I know I've never crossed the border without talking directly to an agent. Come to think of it, CBP even asks my kids questions directly. Maybe I'm old school...when you come to a crossing, off come the sunglasses, off goes the radio and everyone in the car pays attention to the agent...
  7. HA! And let me guess...it would only have 2 questions!! YES, Obama should be allowed to frighten children with sonic booms. NO, Obama hates children and his sonic booms are an afront to our freedoms.
  8. Seriously?? Are you really surprised by her reaction? You presented yourself to a border agent so that you can be interviewed to enter the country and you are on the phone?? I'm absolutely blown away that you think that is an alright thing to do...
  9. Well, it sure is a good thing that Christians don't indoctrinate their children into that sort of hate as well.
  10. True, might be the biggest, but I would have to say the vicarious baptisms of Hitler, Himmler and hundreds of thousands of Holocaust victims would have to be a pretty close second...
  11. My favourite DZ dog story happened in Raeford. In 1995, we travelled down from Canada for the long weekend in September for the Diamond Quest jumps. There was about 12 of us and most of us were CDN military. We secured 4 sections of modular tent and set them up in the pines. Just as we finished, this dog came walking in. Someone said "I wonder what his name is?" at which time he promptly laid down and started licking his balls. For the rest of the weekend, everyone on the DZ would ask why we kept calling that dog "Lucky"!!!
  12. No shit! Especially when you consider that this was just PRACTICE [/alleniverson]. That poor bastard has to drag himself out of the hospital and do it 3 or 4 more times this weekend!!
  13. North korea has claimed to have nothing to do with it. Can you point me to evidence that they actually did do it? The Gulf of Tonkin rings a bell! Is all this a can of worms the american empire can handle/afford, or one the worlds economy and ecology can survive. You need to move forward with the utmost caution, this is not just a game of chess. This is beginning to sound like Deja Vu! Flexing your muscles at a skitzed out dictator that is known for not wanting to be seen as inferior... Hmm thats wise? Is it that you do not believe the reports that have been written? Or do you think that the attack ever took place at all? Or did the US sink the Cheonan in order to start a war with DPRK?
  14. I don't think it really matters what the origins are. In the context of the article, if people are leaving the military and using the tactics learned in the military against government, then it is irrelevant what gang they belong to - Bloods or Bandidos. Besides, up where I live, biker gangs are far more violent, criminal and anti police than most if not all of the other gangs. I guess it is a matter of perspective. This article is written about street gangs. I'm guessing that the same kind of article could be written but substitute biker gang for street gang.
  15. Is this a case of the military not doing their due diligence to check the backgrounds of their recruits? Or are they 'looking the other way' just to keep enrolment levels up? I'm guessing it's more the latter... It would seem unavoidable that you have people who are going to use their military experience and knowledge against authority and government after their service. Just look at McVeigh and Nicols as shining examples of that. As this article suggests, I would think the biggest issue is the organized actions to funnel weapons, ammunition and equipment out of the military and onto the streets. The OP points to lots of studys that point to gang activity in the military. I hope they come with recommendations on how best to stop it...
  16. Who knows what is next... Another Iraq? I don't see on what pretext the US could invade DPRK. They certainly would not be looking at any sort of 'coalition of the willing'. Even ROK would do anything to avoid that scenario. How do you deal with a rogue dictator? Recent history has shown where there was progress being made in the Six Party talks, DPRK then turned around and tested an ICBM launch vehicle and then conducted an underground nuclear test. International reaction was expectedly negative and DPRK reacted accordingly. When you have a regime where on one hand occassionaly tried to adhere to some sort of international diplomacy, but then on the other hand is so utterly terrified of showing weakness - especially to its own people, you end up with this political 'schizophrenia' that is impossible to negotiate with. What is the solution? DPRK has been a failed state since its inception. All the sinking of the Cheonan did was shore up support at home for Jong-Il and this soon to be successor. Honestly, given the UN's reaction of condemning the attack, but not implicating DPRK, the US and ROK really had not choice but to increase sanctions and flex a little muscle. I really can't see DPRK being that worried about a 20 vessel exercise when their own navy has over 30 times that number.
  17. Judging how North Korea signalled their intentions to restart the Six Party Talks by sinking a South Korean Navy vessel.... I'm guessing that flexing and war games is the very definition of diplomacy in that part of the world!

...sigh... you had me at CReW dog..!!
  19. No, somehow it will be Ignatieff's fault....or someone from Toronto !!
  20. Sadly, this forum has ended up as being nothing but a study of extremes. People post useless/inaccurate threads just to get a reaction out of others. Logical discourse is long since dead - if it ever existed at all around here. In short, I wouldn't hold out much hope for a reasonable answer to your question.
  21. I think that first guy might be having a stroke!!!
  22. JUST saw them 5 days ago in Ottawa - outdoors. Man, Getty Lee hasn't lost it one bit. They played for 3 hours with one small break. They sound as tight as ever. They did play quite a bit of early stuff near the end. Kicking off the concert with Spirit of Radio immediately got the crowd into it. Not too bad for 3 guys pushing 60 yrs old!!
  23. HA. I just got an email this morning, but it was worded for NHL Hockey...
  24. They are part of the nation of Islam, non of the rest have declared war on the US Please define "nation of Islam". Are you saying that Louis Farrakhan has declared war on the US? Or all of Islam has declared war on the US?
  25. It's the All Ireland Footbal Final, and a man makes his way to his seat at mid field. He sits down, noticing that the seat next to him is empty. He leans over and asks his neighbour if someone will be sitting there. "No," says the neighbour. "The seat is empty." "This is incredible", said the man. "Who in their right mind would have a seat like this for the Finals and not use it?" The neighbour says, "Well, actually, the seat belongs to me. I was supposed to come with my wife, but she passed away. This is the first Finals we haven't been to together since we got married in 1967." "Oh ... I'm sorry to hear that. That's terrible. But couldn't you find someone else, a friend or a relative, or even a neighbour to take the seat?" The man shakes his head. "No. They're all at the funeral."
