  1. I think A LOT of people, especially in the black community, thought that race relations would improve with a black president. However, it seems that things have only gotten worse, or at least that seems to be the general perspective. We seem to be heading in a more divisive direction than a unifying one... *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
  2. It's 2016, we have a 2 term black president. Have race relations been improving or getting worse? *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
  3. With 200+ jumps you have enough experience to make an educated decision. If you feel comfortable stepping down to the 135 on a canopy that's not too aggressive for you, then that might be a reasonable move. You've taken some canopy courses and sought out the advice of your instructors, riggers, etc... Sounds like you're taking the right steps toward making a good decision. You're first mistake was asking the opinion here. While you can get some good advice on dz.com, unfortunately there are a lot of posters here that want to post the same drivel over and over and they think it applies to everyone. They also like to do this on virtually any/every post about downsizing, not always because it's in the best interest of the poster, but because they like the controversy. Be smart, plan ahead, think fast, do your research, listen to your gut, don't progress too fast, don't panic, know your mals.... and so on. It's not that difficult to downsize in a safe manner. *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
  4. Bones in the human body. Granted some are mirrored left and right side between the 206. *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
  5. Haha! Best post ever! On the iPhone vs Android debate anyway. And it's true too... *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
  6. I don't think I've ever met anyone that DOESN'T have a cracked or busted iPhone. Good luck! *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
  7. Sure "the BEST" is a relative term, but it could be gauged by demand. When someone has the means to buy 'the best' regardless of price they usually buy the best. Look at Fazza Sky for example, they are arguably comprised of some of the best jumpers the sport has to offer and they have 'unlimited funds', they have chosen to go with UPT Vector as their container of choice.... take from it what you will, but it says something. Some might also say that with their inovations such as the skyhook that UPT is ahead of the rest. Anyway, no one is going to win any brand debate here so it really just comes down to personal preference..... and personal preference leads to 40 week lead times. *I am not afraid of dying... 8. It's DigiCal, you'll love it. You can even scroll the widget to see over a week of your schedule right from the widget. And it's free! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.digibites.calendar *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
  9. Wow, so on a Samsung I can make a swiping motion to get that info, where on my iPhone I have to make a tapping motion? Truly revolutionary. Live/interactive home screens are actually quite convenient, quicker and nice to be able to customize however you like. Maybe it's not for you, that's fine. To all the weather app haters.... I guess I'm the weird one for wanting to know what the temperature is outside first thing in the morning, the Hi's/Lows, and chances of precipitation to know how to prepare for the day before I even get out of bed, all with one glance of my home screen. But, I understand that by getting up, getting dressed, going downstairs, and going outside I'll get a sense of the current temperature, and then I just have to tune into the news to get the rest of the forecast for the day.... yeah that sounds just as convenient. *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
  10. I love my S2... I was about to upgrade to the S3 but now will plan on the S4. Androids multiple, customizable home screens make things so much more quick, easy, and manageable. For example I can scroll one one screen to the right and instantly see my auto-updated schedule for the next few days and edit it right there, rather than going to my apps, and opening an app. I can see the current weather conditions for my location right on my home screen without having to do a thing and it automatically changes depending on gps location. I can scroll to the left and see current/ real-time news updates right on the home screen, no app needed. I could go on and on.... but you already know that... Are you using Swype yet? If not start ASAP... you will catch on quick. It feels primitive to me now when I have to type each letter into to my iPad at work, it takes twice as long to write a msg. ETA: I tried to find a swype app for my iPad but they don't have the appropriate technology to support it yet. There are a couple knockoff apps but they are crap and not even close to true Swype. *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
  11. You are right from that standpoint.... if simple and pretty is what you're looking for then stick with apple. *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
  12. I believe they are pretty cost comparable. If you are going to be switching to a new carrier you should be able to take advantage of significant deals on a new phone with the signing of a new contract. I highly recommend a Samsung Galaxy s2 or newer, the power behind these devices are amazing. *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
  13. http://www.forbes.com/sites/haydnshaughnessy/2013/03/18/how-good-is-the-samsung-galaxy-s4-try-amazing/ With the introduction of the new Samsung S4, Apple is just even further behind the technology times. The iphone and iPad OS simply cannot contend with all of the additional features that the Android platform offers, with countless interactive widgets, shortcuts, auto-updating / fully customizable home screens, Swype texting and so much more. Android and Samsung have surpassed apple overseas but many Americans are still blinded by the trendiness/hipness of the apple brand to realize they have an inferior product. (entire post created using Samsung galaxy s2) *I am not afraid of dying... I am afraid of missing life.* ----Disclaimer: I don't know shit about skydiving.----
