  8. I dont know where u jump, but over here that behavior its not tolerated. You do it once, and you gona hear from us. The holding area its not a 'playground', here we use it to get vertical separation. You want a playground? Pull at 13000 and play all you want away from other people. Sure u can spiral down, but dont pass people below you. Thats rude, stupid, and unsafe. Common sense and courtesy. The sky its not yours. Imagine you are on a 10 lane freeway that converts into 1 lane. Whos gona go first, the ferraris or the 18 wheelers? If I want to assure I wont be bombarded from above, Ill stay away from morons and make sure my load is educated in knowing their place and position in the landing patterns. I jump in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. Dont come near us with that attitude. HISPA #93 DS #419.5
  9. maybe. whats the reserve? Ill make some calls. I think its possible to find a loan for the weekend. HISPA #93 DS #419.5

  12. Depends on what kind of turn, what type of canopy and the wingloading.... I can do slow 180 frontriser turn from 300' and still have altitude for a little of double fronts before leveling out. And I can do a 90 flat turn from around 40'. I fly a 7cell loaded at 1.3 However, a friend of mine needs a 1000' to do a 270 safely. He flies a small swooping thing heavily loaded. HISPA #93 DS #419.5
  13. depends on wingloading and what disciplines you want to do... i bought a 7cell as my first canopy because i knew i wanted to do wingsuits, crew, accuracy, base, demos, etc...if i was into swooping, i would have bought a semielliptical like sabre2 or a pilot. not saying that 9cells are not good for other disciplines, but thats how i decided what to buy. 14. ...maybe they were talking about wingsuit training? HISPA #93 DS #419.5

  18. My understanding is that hes talking about packers that dont do anything more in the sport. The ones that use all the DZ facilities, claim a spot in the packing area, drink the beer, etc... they make the most money and dont give anything back to the DZ ($$$). I think hes not talking about jumpers that pack to fund their skydiving addiction or the packers that do the staff rigs. Im not saying I agree with him, but thats what I understood. 20. I jump with a Pro-track, a Viso and a WBT-201 gps logger. As stated before the pro-track wont log past 119 seconds. The Viso has a cool feature where you can playback the last jump comparing freefall time with fallrate. You can also set the Viso to display fallrate during the jump instead of altitute. HISPA #93 DS #419.5
  21. i use a freefly hackey (hackey with tuck tab) HISPA #93 DS #419.5
  22. I like looking for chopped canopies. I have landed out a couple times following cutaways. One time I jumped with a friend and he had a chop and I saw him following the main and since I always jump with my phone, I went with him. We landed with his main in a swamp north of the DZ. Took us a little bit more than 1 hour to get back to a road, all wet and covered in mud. But we had his canopy. He gave me 2 jump tickets and I accepted them with the condition of making those jumps with him. Later that day when I went to pay for my jumps, they were already paid by him, 6 in total. I do it because Im sure someone will do it for me. HISPA #93 DS #419.5
  23. In Puerto Rico they raised it 3 weeks ago to $24 cash to 10500'. $25 if you pay with credit card. It used to be $23 any way you pay. Hop and pops stayed the same, $15 to 4,500' HISPA #93 DS #419.5
