On his horrible little radio show he made some typical uneducated whuffo comments about SDC and I will always hate him for it. Yes, it has probably been over 10 years since he opened his ugly trap, but he will never be forgiven. (of course there was no apology for his stupid inaccurate remarks). That's easy. Since the coaches program has been put in place most people on the DZ expect the knowledge to come from a coach instead of all of the experienced jumpers on the DZ. Most of the coaches got their rating to get their jumps paid for and have no business teaching anyone anything. Couple that with the self centered/it's not my job attitude of most people today and, Whala,huge gap in the educational process. I dont' think education is the problem. There are more canopy courses and information out there now then there was 15 years ago when I started. People just don't apply what they learn. They think their way is the better way and don't care what someone with 2000+ and 10+ years in the sport has to say. The problem is, like POP touched on, the entitlement generation. They think its just fine to downsize and fly like idiots cause they paid for the jump just like you did. The don't care if they fly their own special pattern and screw over others trying to land safely or spiral down over the top of the LZ or many of the other stupid things the entitlement generation feels they are entitled to do. j Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

I can't agree more. They are the best. I have a protrack and the back of it broke when I tried to change the batteries. I had it taped together for years, but it finally was in too many pieces. They sent me a new back and the springs AND new batteries at no cost from overseas. KUDOS to L&B!

This reminds me of the guy that called the dz years ago because he needed extra income that month. He was a ball room dance instructor and thought that could translate/cross over into skydiving instructor. We explained that it did not. In the case of Stan....I would explain to him that at our dz we do things this way....and if he would like to jump he would have to abide by the dropzone rules. They are like Gremlins, but they multiply when you add crap. I googled nashville skydiving and a whole lot more websites came up along with googling skydiving memphis. The "above memphis skydiving". that showed up when I googled it, mapped it to be located in south memphis in an empty lot, but when I called the local number and it said it located in waverly.
