0:4:3 's My first Freefly jumps ever (after 2 hours in the tunnel though) 2 solo sit-flys 1 2-way sit-fly doing a Rear-facing sit-fly exit and then another 2-way sit-fly in "modified" Horny Gorilla exit...awesome I nailed my sit on the second jump, which was awesome as well! I owe three beers: I FINALLY downsized to a Spectre 230, did my first jump on it and I love it! Ok well yes, thats a given. I've jumped w/ some of the Air Force guys and know guys who work there, so yeah thats a given that they'd have a class.... That's very cool. But yeah I've never heard of anything like that. Just clubs like at Michigan. They would laugh in our face if we told them we wanted to form a skydiving class and get credit for it. We don't even have "gym" classes like other schools, like golf, and tennis, and skiing and stuff like that. I've definately talked to my dad and step mom about it. When I saw Mariann go in a few weeks ago, I called my dad to talk about it as I was still kind of in shock myself. I've told them how I feel and that one day something may happen, and have relayed how I felt and that i love them and know that even though its a dangerous sport, its something I'm passionate about and enjoy doing and I try to take every precaution in being as safe as possible on every jump while still having fun. My mom on the other hand. She's a little different. She is just now getting to the point where she will ask me about skydiving and how my jumps are going and I'll tell her about them. She's not ready to handle me talking about if something should happen to me yet. She's made progress this far. Will I talk to her about it soon....Most definately, but just not now. I wasn't commenting on the high-fives. That's tacky and juvenille. I was saying that men should totally not be afraid of a 2-guy 1-girl situation. It can be, if done with the right people, a LOT of fun. The human form is sexual in any way, shape, or form. But it should be treated with respect. That's how it should work, anyway. In my opinion, I've enjoyed the journey of progress and learning that I'm making right now. You can't expect to whiz through your student training and then know everything about skydiving there is and go jump your brains out. Although no one is stopping you from doing so, it probably not as likely. Trust me, they get better and more fun. You're going through AFF right now which is cool, but you don't think its as fun or its not living up to your expectations. I know it seems tedious but you need to learn how to fly yourself responsibly and safely before going out with others. Just because you graduate AFF, doesn't mean you stop learning new things. For me, after I got off AFF and got my A-license was when I started learning even more than I ever did on AFF. You gotta crawl before you can walk and even after that its still a progression. I know you have that "I just wanna get out there and jump and learn to do everything" and thats cool. But enjoy the progress up to that. I have friends who are great skydivers and freefliers, instructors and swoopers. It'd be cool to do all that and I have hopes of becoming that one day, but I'm enjoying learning everything I can to get to that point. Honestly, I agree with everyone here. If you go through it and it hasn't grabbed you by the balls yet, then it might not be something you want to continue investing money in. But if you really want to do this and go out there in 3,4,and 5 ways with people doing formations or freeflying or tracking dives or whatever....then talk to people who do it and start watching and listening and learning. If you're serious about it, the time and money investment in you getting better is highly worth it....i guarantee that... But do whatever makes you happy... I like my one piece. Like Marks, I got mine from Liquid Sky as well....yeah it can be hot, but the mesh lining on the inside cools it down a bit. And I agree its easier to deal with as well. Puttin' some stank on it. ----Hellfish #707----

Hahaha your skills are fine. Just do one tandem, they'll probably give you a little more control and everything since you do have X amount of tunnel time. At least with one, once it comes time for AFF, you'll know what to expect once you get in the door. I think one should be fine. If you do two tandems, you might as well just do the one and pay for the ground school of AFF and jump right in to it. I'm not sure if Chris Gray will be there tuesday (he should be though) but when you call to make your reservation, you can request to go with him and they'll try to set it up as best they can. As far as Brad Cole, he doesn't work there anymore, he just comes down to jump. There's a lot of inner politics that are keeping alot of good people like him and Russ from working there. But thats neither here nor there. Lastly, I recommend doing your tandem on Sunday when it won't be as crowded. This past saturday, we had 120 tandems and that was ridiculous. Not to mention if it were like that, the tandems are put in the king air and fun jumpers on the otter, so I wouldn't get to see you. meh:3: 1 really fun 3-way RW jump with Travis and Dan (and my actual first real RW dive, so I know I owe beer) 1 tracking dive that was my second attempt and I actually stayed in this time!!! 1 solo freefly dive All in all a good week....and the face is for my modeling interview in Denver next week that I'm excited for Puttin' some stank on it. ----Hellfish #707----
