  3. I know most tunnels have a weight limit and all have different characteristics due to altitude, air density, etc. But I weigh 240 lbs and can sit fly and back fly just fine, but that's also here in CO. Take Paige's advice and call Puttin' some stank on it. ----Hellfish #707----

Obviously because blowing shit up and flying through the air with awesome guns while aliens are swarming around you and killing everything within a 3 mi radius with a plasma grenade is WAAAYYYY more fun.... Duh.. Puttin' some stank on it. ----Hellfish #707----

  6. Damn I didn't see the 160gig model. WOW, that's all I can say. Yeah but I like that, because I can put videos and music and documents and shit on there. I only have 2000 songs right now, but I get more everyday... And I can just get the 80 GB model anyways... "iPod Classic: This is currently what the Zune is competing against. The new iPod 80 GB Classic boats 30 hours of audio playback, 6 hours of video. They have a 160 GB version that boosts that number to 40 hours of audio and 7 house of video playback. The price? $249 USD for the 80 GB version and $349 for the 160 GB version. The body of the iPod Classic is described as having a "full metal design", and they're even thinner than before." 9. Yeah I agree, it would be sweet, but not for $300, if I want to spend that, I'll just get the Classic with the 160 GB Good grief that's alot of space Charlie Brown Puttin' some stank on it. ----Hellfish #707----
  10. Haha...hey, I happen to like his kool-aid... Puttin' some stank on it. ----Hellfish #707----
  11. I agree and I feel it's a bit too early to be calling it ANOTHER loss to OSU when only the first week of football has been played... Yeah it sucked and they outplayed us, but there is still alot of football to be played and alot can happen (with everyone not just with Michigan). Was it a laughable performance. Most definitely and it's never been harder to be a fan until now, however I'm NOT gonna be a fairweather fan just because we weren't ready...expect me to still be as obnoxious and loud of a Michigan fan as I usually am....I'm STILL proud of my school and we will recover from this.. But we're used to Haters....so keep on, lets start talking shit when its November, THEN it'll be valid... I've been getting it all weekend and frankly don't care...so you got more to say? BRING IT.... GO BLUE!!!!!! Puttin' some stank on it. ----Hellfish #707----
  12. I haven't measured myself in a bit, but I decided to get on the scale today and saw that I lost about 3 more lbs....it's about damn time Thought I hit a plateau for a bit...My body fat is also down 2% since I last measured it in June. I'm starting to be able to tell now.....my jumpsuit wasn't as tight and i'm starting to fill out my shirts more now... Puttin' some stank on it. ----Hellfish #707----
  13. My TM gave thumbs up and did the superman pose and stuff but other than that he let me enjoy the freefall. I liked the poses and stuff he did, it added to the video a little bit. Puttin' some stank on it. ----Hellfish #707----
  14. I would say walk around the local dz and get to know the instructors and other fun jumpers. Ask questions about container size, main size, etc. That's the only way you will learn....you won't get a damn thing accomplished by asking on here. Go and see what the different options are, understand what they do and how it works and then make an informed decision. We all know you're excited about the sport, as were we, however, get more involved to make sure it is for you and that you want to spend that money on it. I would say, don't worry about getting gear right now. It's not a big deal. Get the gear when you're ready and you have developed an understanding of how your gear works... Hi.

Yea 4-day weekend!!!! I can't wait to be drunk....seriously...going out tonight, then tomorrow night, then michigan football saturday morning, going back out saturday, jumping on sunday, drinking and going to the Linkin Park concert on Monday..... Oh man...what a great weekend... And I just came back from a 3 week business trip in which i worked 12 am - 8 am every day....so this is well deserved Puttin' some stank on it. ----Hellfish #707----
  16. A few of us here in CO have decided to enter...when we get the photo, we'll post it... Puttin' some stank on it. ----Hellfish #707----
  17. Wow, well thanks everyone so far for their responses. More than likely my company is going to give me a laptop with XP on it, so i'll just use that for my windows needs. I've been a PC user all my life and I just want something different, yeah its the most compatible, blah, blah, blah...but I've had more problems and having to install/un-install/fix registry/degrag the shit out of it and defending it from every virus every 10 seconds that its just old now... I like the Mac and Windows Parallels idea. I may just wait for Mac's new OS to come out: Leopard. I checked it out on apple's site and it looks pretty solid and even comes with Bootcamp on it. It should be out in october so I can hold out... Thanks guys....
  18. So I'm planning on getting a new computer. I have always had a PC and have no problem with XP and used to be an avid hater of MACs.....until I started using them at school when we got the two button mouse and now I like them ALOT. I wanted to know if anyone has Vista currently and can reassure me that it sucks and is a waste of money (as I've heard from numerous people) or maybe that MACS suck. I am also happy with the fact that I can run parallels using my mac if I get one. Looking for pro's or cons of either. And yes I've gone to the apple site but I wanted personal feedback too
  19. Yeah it was pretty sweet. That's one advantage of the night shift tonight here in California. The three of us working went outside and watched it here at the base... Puttin' some stank on it. ----Hellfish #707----
  20. You should have a bigger canopy until you get over 100 jumps. I know that, but flying a 260 for me keeps me in the air for so long. I've had dozens of talks with my instructors as well at my dz and ever my S&TA in Michgan and in Colorado and they said my progression isn't normal but for my limits is ok. I've been flying on the 260 for a year and a half and then I took the 230 for another year and a half. I just made my first jump on the 220 recently, but thats only because a 230 wasn't available. I dont really have much of a choice when i rent student gear, but thanks for the suggestion. I'll see what i can do. Puttin' some stank on it. ----Hellfish #707----
  21. I understand what you're saying and thank you for apologizing, but my sense of the statement above and this one again, , They seem to contradict to me. Maybe its how it is inferred or how I am just reading it, but they don't seem to match. I understood the underlying point that you were trying to make and I received that. I have my own qualms about Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, but that's for a later time. What I'm saying is that from the statements that you made since yesterday, it seems like you are INDEED judging the entire race. I know you said you're not, but please go back and re-read your comments. Surely, I'm not the only person who feels that way as people after me basically said the same thing. Please also go and re-read what Bill said to you. You're welcome to whatever opinions you have of whoever and I'm not gonna tell you what to think. However, in this type of argument be careful how things are phrased. Because your last post to me just now and what you said earlier don't match. Now stepping completely away from this thread topic for a second....this is just coming from me to you. (I would PM you, but you don't accept them.) Please mind how things are said, not just in here, but in general. I'm not saying walk on eggshells and crap around people, but what you conceive as a harmless opinion or quote, may not come across as such. I know there's not a lot of US in the skydiving world, but we're still here and statements like the first one you made with FUBU and what not, was offensive. More or less on here, it's only an internet forum, but at the same time, i've never met you but if by some chance we meet at a boogie or some other event....my first thought upon meeting you will venture back to this conversation and that's never how I want to start off meeting anyone. That is with a negative viewpoint towards that person. I always try to find the good in people, but it may very well still be in the back of mind. Just my .02...i'm done ranting...back to the bonfire. Maybe... Puttin' some stank on it. ----Hellfish #707----
  22. I have 55 jumps and have gone from a PD Nav 260 to a Spectre 230 to a Nav 220 from student training until now. I'm getting a Pilot 210 with a PD Reserve 218. I think WL the Pilot at like 1.3 or 1.35. Keep in mind that I weigh about 265-270 with gear on out the door. Puttin' some stank on it. ----Hellfish #707----
  23. It's not all its cracked up to be sometimes. I don't fit into most small places or normal places for that matter. (i.e. - airplanes, buses, seats, cars, desks, etc.) Everytime I do something I have to think about it ergonomically. Oh and lets not forget the most recent case. There's not alot of people in this sport who are my size so finding used gear to suit me was hard, so I just said f it and am getting new gear. Other than that, I do enjoy being able to see over everyones head and the ladies like it Puttin' some stank on it. ----Hellfish #707----
  24. WOW. You have really, wildly mistakenly described a lot of black people I know--psipike02, for one. Stereotypes are dangerous. If your goal is just to be offensive, well played. If you really believe everything you wrote, you need to get out and meet more people. Someone, somewhere, will fit the profile you drew. For the many more who don't, I'm sorry to hear that this kind of attitude is out there. First of all, thank you Jewels for that nice comment.
  25. Hey Lisa, here's some more motivation, I guess, for ya...if you haven't seen this. This is for anyone else too!! ____________________________________ Short-term & Long-term benefits of Quitting Smoking Because of the psychological hooks involved in smoking, use anything you believe can help you. It can be a difficult war to stop smoking. Use all the weapons and tools you feel you need. Nicotine substitutes and the medicine Zyban can be very useful. The use of any of them with this program is fine. If you feel it can be helpful. When you stop smoking, here are the benefits that take effect almost immediately. 20 minutes after quitting: Your blood pressure drops to a level close to that before the last cigarette. The temperature of your hands and feel increases to normal. 8 hours after quitting: The carbon monoxide level in your blood drops to normal and oxygen levels increase. 24 hours after quitting: Your chances of a heart attack decrease. 48 hours after quitting: Your nerve endings begin regrowth and your sense of taste and smell begin to return. 2 weeks to 3 months after quitting: Your circulation improves and your lung function increases up to 30%. 1 to 9 months after quitting: Coughing, sinus congestions, fatigue, and shortness of breath decreases; cilia (tiny hair like structures that move mucus out of the lungs) regain normal function in the lungs, increasing the ability to handle mucus, clean the lungs and reduce infection. 1 year after quitting: The excess risk of coronary heart disease is half that of a smoker's. 5 years after quitting: Your stroke risk is reduced to that of a nonsmoker 5-15 years after quitting. 10 years after quitting: The lung cancer death rate is about half that of a continuing smoker's. The risk of cancer of the mouth, throat, esophagus, bladder, kidney and pancreas decreases. Puttin' some stank on it. ----Hellfish #707----
