  6. Why not just make an inspection/repack sheet passed on to the customer which includes serial numbers, due dates, inspection points, and tools in/out count? It gave me warm fuzzies when my favorite rigger did that and didn't cost much (now days they even give away free printers with every ink or toner purchase). Im still in training (a.k.a. riggers b*tch) I was given a checklist and modified it a little. I know it came from here. It was modified using Wordpad. It prints fine at work but here at home its off. I print it front and back on a single page. If it comes up screwy i can try to transfer it to microsoft word. hoping this is what you are talking about. if not ignore me and continue edit: if you have Word® installed you will have to save as and pen it with Wordpad to see the lines that should be there... Ill play with it to make it Word® friendly. Again this is not my creation. Just a modified version of this one. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=940246#940246 ExPeCt ThE uNeXpEcTeD! DoNt MiNd ThE tYpOs, Im LaZy On CoRrEcTiOnS!

  11. I havent done any high pulls for canopy work. Just relied on the time from regular pull time to 2500' 1000'. (depending on what im practicing, what the winds are and how far im out.) I think its something to look into next time im at the dz. ExPeCt ThE uNeXpEcTeD! DoNt MiNd ThE tYpOs, Im LaZy On CoRrEcTiOnS!

  13. im 164lbs. OTD and thats using 12lbs. of weight. I can drop the weights if i want to go to a 150, but i would rather look into a semi-eliptical(sp?) main like the 9 cell pilot in a 170. You might want to look into that option. I decided against the change to a 150 for now till i get to take a canopy course and feel comfy going >1.0 wingloading. im a newb to so others will have a better idea. just giving my experience. edit to add... Im currently using a 170. incase the origonal poster doesnt know to look in the profile. ExPeCt ThE uNeXpEcTeD! DoNt MiNd ThE tYpOs, Im LaZy On CoRrEcTiOnS!
  14. When i made my 1st few jumps on my rw suit with booties i played with this. It was a posative experience. I can imagine that even without them there is a difference. although my tracking experience is slim. back tracking was a joke.... plenty of room for improvement. ExPeCt ThE uNeXpEcTeD! 15. 2000 chevy s-10. purchased with 23 miles. Its at 186,000+ miles right now. All mine. (Edit): Repairs so far... A/C myself 2 times. Transmission at 150K miles and again at 170K miles. I hit a huge rock on the pan breaking the filter and trashing the thing. Pulley tensioner a few months ago. $30 and 20 min of my time. replaced 1 rotor and 2 callipers. Needs new rear leaf springs right now. I also have a 2003 Suzuki Gsx-R 600 motorcycle with over 25,000 miles on it. Purchased with 0 miles also all mine. No major repairs. I have cut down on my driving in the last 2 years. I used to put 8-10K miles on the bike per year and anywhere from 25-35K miles per year on the pick-up. ExPeCt ThE uNeXpEcTeD! 16. im around 125lbs. 5'7". Going through AFF i started with a 190. Couldnt get enough momentum(sp?) to get much of a flare out of the canopy for a good standup landing. So they put me in a 170. Worked out great. I wasnt standing them up much more, but it was softer on the heals. I was packing on weights to keep up with the instructors as well. 12lbs..... That put me at 164lbs. out the door. Thats my experience. I suppose the best thing to do is ask your instructor(s) and get to know the rigger where your jumping. They will always point you in the best direction. ExPeCt ThE uNeXpEcTeD! 18. Ive been using a leedom scream helmet. its a snowboard helmet. I removed the goggle strap holder and the vent slider to make it snag free. i think i spent $35 for one on ebay. here is an auction going on right now for a large. but there are other sizes available in other auctions. I like it because it offers decent protection. Just as good if not better than pro-tec.
  19. good thing you convienced me to wait. WoW intense. In the end it was luck that got him to the bush and not a water landing or a beach landing that probably would have ended up less favorable. ~i cant type...~ ExPeCt ThE uNeXpEcTeD! DoNt MiNd ThE tYpOs, Im LaZy On CoRrEcTiOnS!
