I bought a Leedom Scream helmet a long time ago. Use it on every jump. I removed/cut off the goggle strap holder in the back as it was a major catch point. I also removed the vent adjuster from the top by pulling out the padding. Stuck padding back into it and it works great. Not bad for approx $35 new. Much cheaper than skydiving helmets at the time. You can use any helmet you like. The key is to remove the snag hazards or else when your lines get caught on them during deployment you will wish you did... The draw back to removing the goggle strap holder is that it leaves a square hole in the back of the helmet. Glue some fake hair in there and it will look cool! ExPeCt ThE uNeXpEcTeD! Thanks for the input! i will explore the canopy before I start getting to full bow-tie! Always looking before performing maneuvers is common sense that you would hope people would know, but never hurts to make sure! Great Stuff!

I never stall below my decision altitude. I understand that getting the canopy to stall is a unstable thing. But once you have rocked back under it and descend straight down it is for the most part stable as long as you hold it. True it isn't flying in the sense that there isn't any control over direction. The wind takes you like a round. My question was more on the lines of...... During the initial stalling, and recovery phases of the stall, is the Pilot more or less stable than a Sabre2? Thank you for making me aware of the pilot chute issue. I haven't encountered it before, but I will keep an eye out for it! So...what else is new? I saw an ad in the classifieds towards the end of October for a new Pilot in zpX, colors of your choice, for $1735 shipped. I made the decision to sell my Sabre2 150 and pick up a Pilot 140. I placed my order with Gary and sent the funds around the 1st week of November. Around the middle to end of December I started inquiring if there was any updates. When Gary went to check on it for me, Aerodyne informed Gary that they had a computer issue that caused them to loose some orders. Gary informed me that they put the order on a expedited status. I received my canopy on Feb 6th. I open the bag to see my bundle of joy. To my surprise it came with HMA lines as well. That was very unexpected! I was expecting Spectra. Gary apologized in every email about how long it was taking and even offered to send out a canopy to use while I was waiting to make it up. I declined seeing as how I wasn't in a huge hurry. So he is still sending me some KKrew wear. I will be another walking advertisement for his passion and dedication to this sport. He also made me a deal when I get ready for a new container. Looking forward to those funds becoming available! Thanks again Gary for the canopy. Looking forward to jumping it in a few weeks. Hopefully good weathered weekend of hop-n-pops to get used to the new wing! Maybe work on some freefly practice too. Also, if anyone has compared the two, how does the pilot stack up to the sabre2 when it comes to canopy stalls? I really enjoyed stalling the sabre2. ExPeCt ThE uNeXpEcTeD! I am not a rigger, but it shouldn't matter if the previous seal is your own. The inspection should always be conducted as though it was someone else that sealed it last. Even if it is your own seal. Complacency kills. I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end... I am all for a reduced fee for return business, but as a rigger I wouldn't reduce my attention to detail and quality service just because I sealed it last. Just mo $.02 ExPeCt ThE uNeXpEcTeD!
