If it's something that, if done again, would/could cause a malfunction on a reserve deployment... Yes! I'm not a rigger, but if i wasn't doing something properly i would want to know because it is my butt on the line. Now if said rigger is a butt head about it and blows you off... I have a micron V308 that is sized for a smart 120. I have an Optimum 143 in it if that helps. Here is a link to UPT's sizing chart. No, It's gotta be the Jerry Rig and the Air Brake "Chute" There are many brands with many different qualities and features. Read up on different manufactures and get to know a rigger that can help you understand the differences. Getting a history lesson from a rigger will also help to understand why certain features were invented. Comfort and safety are important! You can get a rigger to help you with figuring out what MLW is the best for your torso. Once you understand the features, you can make an informed decision on what brand you want to go with for each component. Riggers like beer and cash as payment for their knowledge! Sometimes you can find one that is nice enough to do it for free!

Bingo! I am a tad bit on the skinny side. My arch has vastly improved since AFF... I don't need the weight near as bad as I did before. My instructors could only slow down so much. They definitely weren't lazy. They were working their asses off to stay with my floating arse. I was still going through AFF and my body control just as wasn't natural like theirs. I have the vest if I need it, but I don't depend on it. I have very good range and can adjust readily with almost anyone. There are the occasional anvils that I have no hope with unless I strap on the weights. ExPeCt ThE uNeXpEcTeD! DoNt MiNd ThE tYpOs, Im LaZy On CoRrEcTiOnS!

It took me 4 tries at level 3. That arch was hard to find for some reason... I found it and had no problem with the rest of my AFF. Stick with it! Am I reading this right??? Your instructor put weight on you??? I was instructed to look into weights to increase my fall rate. I found a weight vest on dz.com. I was wearing 8lbs on my 4th attempt at level 3. level 4 I started wearing 12 lbs. of weight, which all of my instructors liked very much. I have actively started reducing the amount of weight I am dependent to wear to stay up with the "average" weight jumpers. ExPeCt ThE uNeXpEcTeD! DoNt MiNd ThE tYpOs, Im LaZy On CoRrEcTiOnS!

I purchased a used V308 for $900 then sent it back in to have a Skyhook installed for $300. I have an OP143. A Pilot 140zpx will fit perfect as well. I know I will never have to buy another rig and that makes me one happy camper! ExPeCt ThE uNeXpEcTeD! DoNt MiNd ThE tYpOs, Im LaZy On CoRrEcTiOnS!
