i remember someone having trouble posting a video and wanting some help. people on a travel trailer at a dropzone with a jet flying over VERY low. I posted it and I think it was 2 days later when I un-posted because the pilot was worried about getting into trouble. It wasn't at night though. Maybe late evening so probably 2 different events?? I'm not a rigger so this is my clause to anything I write below... that is scary! So, accidental routing through the closing loop when installing the seal. Maybe something could be done to mistake proof it. • smaller lead seals that will pass through the grommet? • a personal check for riggers to include on there final inspection? • I know I will certainly keep it in mind when receiving my rig back after a repack. It made me go check it just now... edit: you would think that the spring in the pilot chute would have snapped it. Maybe the combined friction of the closing flaps are locking it down enough so that it's stored energy isn't able to overcome the 4.5lb. tensile strength. Sorry if this post has no value. Well this post was worth the wait... I GOT IT! My Optima II came in the mail today! Gary, Thank you for your customer service. I know it took a while but I had faith in you. I appreciate your willingness to paypal funds to purchase from a vendor here in the US. I went with Chutingstar. Mike, if you read this, thanks for your great service as well! I am quickly learning how to operate it and can't wait to make a special place in my helmet to hold it! I am incredibly surprised with my stroke of luck in this competition!

Hey V-B, You never know what one individual is dealing with in life. For all we know the OP could be dealing with a lot of personal stress and venting it on the one thing that has been eating at him the longest. Then again it may just be his normal selfish self. I'm not going to judge or assume. Haven't you ever said something and regretted it later. We all have. For all we know, he could be kicking himself in the pants right now. PmedicJ went about finding resolution from Gary. True, he did it in a untactful manner. Gary responded in his reply to what PmedicJ said. Both are in agreement that they don't want to do business with each other in the future. That aside; Gary's reputation is still in tact for providing good customer service and dealing with issues. He explained what happened and why he couldn't email PmedicJ. Future customers that actually do a dropzone search will probably read the full story before getting to the end and realize that Gary isn't out to screw anyone over. Gary offered to send me the amount it would cost to buy an Optima II from any dealer in the US due to him not being able to get anything shipped with batteries. He also said that he would put enough in there for your refund if I was willing to make sure it got back to you. The amount he sent even covered for shipping. That was pretty good customer service in itself. I know it took a while to receive your refund, but in the end everyone is happy. That is all that matters. Not sure of your prices for AFF levels over there, but here is how I see it... Cost for AFF level 3 where I took it in Texas = approx. $200 US. Level 3 here is where they finally let you go for the 1st time to show you are capable of stable belly to earth flight. I repeated it 3 times... so out of pocket = approx $800 US. If tunnel time is less than even 1 repeat AFF level and will almost guarantee a non repeat of any level throughout the AFF program, then it is more than worth it. Just for the peace of mind and knowing that you will be a little more relaxed because you have already demonstrated the ability in a tunnel. I have never been to a tunnel either, so my advice should also be taken with a couple grains of salt... I just know I could have benefited when I started out. ExPeCt ThE uNeXpEcTeD!
