  2. the colors are neon orange with 2 white cells towards one end. This is my canopy that I have right now. I am looking to sell it and want suggestions for a fair price. I bought it used with 23 jumps on it. I liked how visible it is to other jumpers in the air. Thanks for the reply and if anyone else has insight, I would greatly appreciate it!!!! 3. What is a decent price? The canpoy is in great shape. No holes, tears, rips, ect. The lines are great shape. Nice and white. Always packed in doors. Thanks guys! ExPeCt ThE uNeXpEcTeD! DoNt MiNd ThE tYpOs, Im LaZy On CoRrEcTiOnS!

  5. Made it clicky I might mave to invest in one now...
  6. Soft links aren't that hard to use. Id go with taking a stab at it and hanging out with your rigger to have him check it and show you any mistakes. Your rigger should be happy to show you the process and tell you what to watch out for. Im not a rigger though, so listen to the riggers.
  7. Thats just plain wrong. I would like to see their faces though!! Just to add... I got mine back in new box. So I know they don't keep it in the same box that you shipped it in whether its origonal or not. ExPeCt ThE uNeXpEcTeD! DoNt MiNd ThE tYpOs, Im LaZy On CoRrEcTiOnS!
  8. I know this is a dumb question and by no means am I a rigger, so don't hose me to bad here. Can you push your thumb through it? you know, the old rigger's thumb test. I would think that would be a decent indication as to whether it needed a patch or not. ExPeCt ThE uNeXpEcTeD! DoNt MiNd ThE tYpOs, Im LaZy On CoRrEcTiOnS!
  9. Hey, all ive seen around the area is a couple horses and some sheep down the road. ExPeCt ThE uNeXpEcTeD! DoNt MiNd ThE tYpOs, Im LaZy On CoRrEcTiOnS!
  10. Ive known it as... If you have a malfunction on your main, cutaway and go for the reserve. If the reserve is a malfunction, aim for the rigger's vehicle. ExPeCt ThE uNeXpEcTeD! DoNt MiNd ThE tYpOs, Im LaZy On CoRrEcTiOnS!

  12. I'd like to see what that design looks like. Get the website up asap.
  13. $1K will get you half way through AFF pretty easily. Thats around 5 jumps considering on the prices for AFF/Tandem Get hooked like the rest of us. ExPeCt ThE uNeXpEcTeD! DoNt MiNd ThE tYpOs, Im LaZy On CoRrEcTiOnS!
  14. Mine is on its way back to me. It took 4 weeks also. I figured it would be busy this time of year considering it is winter and that means down time for those that don't like the cold. Edit: I wouldn't switch AADs just because service is slow due to increased work load. ExPeCt ThE uNeXpEcTeD! DoNt MiNd ThE tYpOs, Im LaZy On CoRrEcTiOnS!
  15. Never said I was smart... i know where I stand. I like being the village idiot. Being closed minded and sticking everyone with less experience than yourself below you isn't going to get anyone anywhere... I fully understand that the idea of an airbag jacket like the ones I posted about isn't the easy fix. But that doesn't mean that the technology couldnt be designed around what swoopers do. Im not a swooper and Its up for debate whether I will ever get into it. I was mearly giving the information I had to let someone else run with the idea. You are really quick to tell someone to jump on it and design it. Only because you know that most people are lazy and wont actually do it. I am one of those people. Its not worth my time and money to resolve an internet argument. I have no desire to get into swooping right now so I have no motivation to design, build, test, and impliment it. Take any/everything I say with a grain of salt. It is/was just an idea.
  16. No shit No need to progress forward in safety. Just let darwin sort things out naturally. You know how skydivers are... ExPeCt ThE uNeXpEcTeD! DoNt MiNd ThE tYpOs, Im LaZy On CoRrEcTiOnS!
  17. who says you have to drop your toggles? Part of the design could be to use a hand mounted squeeze pad "thingy" Kinda like a bite switch. Instead of a cable it could be a small wire that runs along your arm, attatched to the arm using a sleeve type design so the exposed wire is only exposed from the wrist to the palm or what not. Gotta think outside the box... Like I stated, the idea can be used to design one. Hell, it could be a bite switch that activates the CO2 cartridge. When you are about to hit the ground at a high rate of speed isn't it natural to clinch your teeth... ExPeCt ThE uNeXpEcTeD! DoNt MiNd ThE tYpOs, Im LaZy On CoRrEcTiOnS!
  18. don't know if this has been brought up or not... but there is motorcycle gear that could be cross developed into skydiving. There are motorcycle jackets that double as a airbag type device. It could be developed to have a emergancy pillow like the cutaway, but obviously in a different location. Here is a promo of one. Thre are a few different manufactures for them. They cost approx. $250-500. But the impact protection it would provide the upper torso under a "slightly" mis-calculated hook turn would be note worthy. Not a guaranteed life save, but worth looking into. edit: not saying these can be purchased and used in their current form, But the idea can be used to design one specific to swoopers looking for low resistance with a decent amout of protection. http://youtube.com/watch?v=hYGt3NiD49I&feature=related Just my personal opinion. 23. Ive had 1 of these jumps so far. I was sittin in the plane on the ride up and Mark Schlatter asked me what I was doing. I was trying my 1st attempt at a back track. He said he would go out with me and folllow in a track above me. My mind was going... oh shit. i warned him that it was my 1st attempt at back flying. His reply was ok. Great jump. of course i wasnt able to get a good track. My butt was low. Over and over again i would try track then flip over and endup loosing momentum once i flipped over. Not to mention heading control was a little shaky. Had to keep correcting. watched him sink effortlessly and track away when it was over. Let him know on the ground I have a long way to go on back flying. Overall it was a jump ill remember forever. Thanks Mark!!!
  24. i use these gloves. good and Tacky. I have used them for working on my truck as they are designed and jumping. Not many jumps of them though. (maybe 10 jumps or so) I like them because there is no velcro or no snap to kep them on. They use a neoprene wrist closure setup. Just slip them on and they take the shape of the wrist. Very stretchy but firm confident grip. Wont slip off. You should see about putting that in the design. somethig that doesnt need to be velcroed or snapped. Just slip on and go. I only use mine when its cold out. here is a link to the glove i use. https://www.ironclad.com/www/productDetail.jsp?prodID=39&catID=44 ExPeCt ThE uNeXpEcTeD!
