  1. I have a Tivo (Series2). It has USB ports on the back, so I have a USB network adapter, and connected the Tivo to my Router. Then I configured it to get all the scheduling from the web instead of it dialing out. Its great. It is one of those things that once you have it, you wonder how you ever watched tv without it. Oh, and if you want to save some $$$, get the 40hour version and then upgrade the harddrive yourself. There's plenty of info online on how to do this. ~Chivo
  2. In every relationship, you'll find that sometimes you have to concede and let go of some things that are important to you. And at that point you must also figure out what is more important: your relationship, or your wants. Sadly, its usually one or the other. Whatever you choose, remember why you chose it. Don't regret it. Whatever decision you took, it was for a reason. Now things have changed, and maybe now you would make a different choice. Like I said, just remember why you chose that. And have no regrets, as you chose what was more important for you at the time. ~Chivo
  3. Hahaha!! That's excellent! I see it every time I play CS. I used to play as "TriggerHappyIdiot", cuz I didn't know better. But now I play as "---all noobs below the line---". Its great when I'm at the top of the list and all my teammates are noobs. . But the worst part, is the several times I've been banned from servers because the admins can't stand someone being better than them, and think I'm a h4xor. Go figure. ~Chivo
  4. Yeah, I'm sure I'll bump into him on one of my trips to TX. Oh, and Turtle, if you read this... OOOPS. ~Chivo

  6. That's me alright. Let me tell you... - we have several ppl named Bob in the company (In a meeting with the Bobs) - we develop banking software - we have cubicles - we hate all the printers - the only reliable piece of equipment at work is my stapler ... I could keep going, but I'll just say damn, too many similarities. ~Chivo
  7. Yup, Asimov's foundation series are awesome. I've read a lot of Michael Crichton's books, and a few of Tom Clancy. Also Enders Game and Davinci Code. Oh, and a very informative book is Bill Bryson's - A Short History of Nearly Everything. And right now I'm reading Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy. ~Chivo
  8. Yeah, interesting book.... not much of a plot, but WHAT A LIST OF CHARACTERS!!!! BWHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! ~Chivo

    jury duty

prospect juror: "I am a firm believer in the death penalty" prosecutor: "But this is only a misdemeanor!" prospect juror: "That'll teach him not to do that again!" ~Chivo
  10. True, blender isn't very intuitive, but its worth learning it. It is becoming more and more popular. Also, with 3d Studio Max and Maya, I've used both and found Max a lot more intuitive, and by that, I mean, I had to read a few books, like 3d Studio Max's bible and also followed a LOT of the tutorials that are available online. And I barely became proficient at simple animation and 3d modeling. I can only imagine how much time you got to dedicate to this in order to master it. No matter how simple or complicated your animation programs are. Most of these applications will require a lot of reading. If you just want the basics, maybe a few tutorials will be enough to get you started. ~Chivo

    Music...

For running I usually like to play tunes with a tempo I can keep up with. Its easier for me to run to a beat, otherwise I lose my pace. So I find songs that have certain tempo and voila! I've even gotten a few cadences to jog to. You know, lots of percussion. :-) Other songs I like include Acid Rain by Liquid Tension Experiment, Tied up in Gear by Yello, and the like... ~Chivo
  12. You should try http://www.blender3d.org/ its free, and did I mentioned its FREE???? Well, it might not be 3d Studio Max or Maya, but its getting better and better plus it seems to have a lot of help from the community, since its open source. The new version has nice features like particle force fields and deflection, advanced UV mapping, ramp shading, etc. Check the gallery for samples. ~Chivo
  13. Yeah, I've bought from www.dbuys.com and from www.bhphoto.com. I would definitely buy from both of them again. ~Chivo

  15. What a coincidence! I had sushi today too! I went with a small group from work, so we had a few things: Rainbow roll, spicy tuna tempura roll, spider roll, a few others not worth mentioning and my favorite hamachi (yellow tail sushi). Unagi is good but I didn't order it this time. I had sawara (spanish mackarel), toro, sake, and maguro. And still, nothing beats the taste and texture of the yellow tail sushi. mmMMMMmmmmm! Me likes sushi very much! ~Chivo

  19. Does this upgrade affect previous functionality? I mean, will it still do the 3 warnings during freefall and then do another 3 under canopy? Or will it work one way or the other but not both? ~Chivo

  23. Maybe you can try the wind tunnel. It is a bit expensive, and in your case, you'd have to add traveling expenses, but if you're serious about becoming a skydiver, going to the tunnel will allow you to reach that next step much faster. ~Chivo
  24. Damn! I can only imagine how much I could've learned in college if I had tutors like that!!! ~Chivo
  25. My cellphone plays mp3's so when someone calls, it plays "Kyle's Mom is a Big Fat Bytch", from Southpark. And when someone leaves me a message, it plays a voice saying: "You have 973 messages, all of which are marked urgent..." ~Chivo
