Just curious... when you get the video from the camera into your hard drive, it uses the DV format, which is interlaced. If you intend to burn DVDs of those videos, should you deinterlace the videos or not? ~Chivo

I did mine last saturday at Waller (Skydive Houston), tonite I'll edit the video and post the url so you can check it out. It was hilarious! We did it @ 5k (hop&pop), Sluggo has a Spectre 170, and we both weight about the same 180lbs. ~Chivo

I have service with AT&T and I'm considering upgrading my phone & service to GSM. Right now I have a Motorola V60 (TDMA). Since I rarely go out of the city, except to go skydiving, I'm curious about its coverage at the dz, and maybe on the road to the dz from LA. Any comments??? ~Chivo

Why not make your own opinion of that canopy? I'd say... demo it. If you like it, then get it. If not, look for other options. Some ppl love it, some hate it. So far, nobody has said anything bad (to my knowledge) about the flight characteristics of the cobalt. The issue (afaik) is the openings. Demo it, and make sure you follow the manufacturer recomendations for packing the canopy. Jump it a few times and decide if it is a good canopy for you or not. Edit: If you have 25 jumps, i'd say its a bit early for you to start flying an elliptical canopy. But I also agree that ppl progress differently in this sport. Make sure you talk to your instructors about it. If they think you're ready for it... go ahead and demo it. ~Chivo

If you decide to go for dark tinted goggles, I'd also suggest you get a set of clear ones. I use dark (mirror) goggles through the day, they are really good at blocking the glare of the sun. But the diminished light closer to sunset makes it much harder to see, so I use clear ones for the last jumps of the day. ~Chivo

Nah, a friend had it in DVD... he insisted we watched it. At the end, you get this sensation of disgust towards humanity in general. Anger, frustration, hate... it just makes you think about what we are truly capable of. After that movie, all other movies suck. You can watch a great scene of another movie and laugh at how unreal their performances are. ~Chivo

I must say... Das Experiment is by far the most disturbing movie I've ever seen! Reminds me of how I felt when I left the theater after watching Seven, except like a 100 times worse. Now don't get me wrong here, its not about grotesque murders, but about how terrible human behavior can be. It is definetly a must see... ~Chivo

As many ppl recomend here, I had about 180 jumps when I purchased my camera and about 220 when I ordered my helmet. I started jumping it last weekend, at 240 jumps. I wanted to video for fun. I was in no hurry to do it, so, even if I felt I had the skill to do it earlier, I also believed that this recomendations were there for my safety - and those jumping with me. ~Chivo

You can also research 2k Composites FFX or FF2 helmets... they seem to be multiplying quickly around here... they're very nice quality. I have an FFX. Only prob is that its a bit expensive. ~Chivo
