  1. When I installed sp2 it broke a bunch of apps and games I had installed. I chose to do a complete reinstall of XP, immediately after that, I installed sp2. Then installed all apps and games... haven't had any problems since. ~Chivo
  2. Besides sense of humor and being down to earth, I realized how sexy I found girls who know how to dance, specially salsa. ~Chivo
  3. A-HA!!!! Cheating on DZ.com eh! Hehehe ! Just kidding! So what was the poll's result on the other board? ~Chivo
  4. Hey Dave, what's up? Theres a bunch of popular songs by Alejandro Fernandez (son of Vicente), like "Como quien pierde una estrella". Mariachi Vargas is awesome. Specially the traditional Mexican songs - Las Ma~anitas, La Negra, Jarabe Tapatio, etc. The rest, well, I'm not a big fan of mariachis, though I don't mind listening to them for a while. ~Chivo
  5. Interesting question, I too would like to hear what motivated this post. I think that someone that has nothing to lose will take more risks in life. Someone who has everything to lose will not take those risks, however, they'll do *anything* to keep what they have. So, who is more dangerous? I think both are equally dangerous. But then again, it depends on what do you mean by 'dangerous' - Reckless? More leaninent to commit crime? I guess it all depends. ~Chivo
  6. Ah, yes... freebirds and beer diet! Must have freebirds!!!! I'm sure I'll see y'all again very soon.
  7. I got an Alienware and it is an awesome machine. But like mentioned before, it is VERY expensive. A good alternative is to build it yourself (or find a friend that can). As for what machine, depends on many things, but if you want to play doom3, make sure you get a good video card... Since Nvidia is the card for Doom3, you can play it with a geforce 6600 and 6600gt (currently in pci express, will be agp later this month), or preferably with a geforce 6800 - but more expensive. You can even do SLI with 2 - 6600's (pci) and get aprox the same performance as one 6800. Anyway, you can check a few articles with more info... like The Official Doom3 HW Guide, and Tom's Hardware Guide: Matching Doom III With The Best Graphics Card, and then maybe How does CPU Speed Impact Graphics Performance?, and Battle 4: AMD vs. Intel. Yeah, yeah, I've been doing a little research cuz I want to upgrade my system too. Hope this helps. ~Chivo
  8. I voted for both, cuz I think both are important. ~Chivo
  9. I just switched to Mozilla. Haven't had any problems since. ~Chivo
  10. Asshole! - you should know this one, but if not, just yell it out loud in the plane err, maybe it should've been 'Hey Asshole!'? ~C
  11. As in the bumper-sticker... "When I die, I want to go like my grandfather, peaceful, in his sleep... not screamming, terrified, like the rest of his passengers!" LOL ~C
  12. HA! That's hilarious! Of course, if they'd actually use the right spelling and spacing it could be readable. ~Chivo

  15. Hey JT! What's up? When r u coming to jump in Perris? ~Chivo
  16. I didn't witness the event, however I did hear about it! Must've been awesome! BWAHAHAHA!!! Edit: Forgot to add, I tried the birdman classic in Perris and had a lot of fun. A wingsuit is on my list of things to ask Santa for Christmas . I am prolly going to AOT Memorial Boogie, but no wingsuit - yet. ~Chivo
  17. Talking about I,Robot... I read the book by Isaac Asimov and also saw the movie. The book is a bunch of short stories, in each one, the importance of the three fundamental laws of robotics is altered, and you see different scenarios. The movie includes parts from other books, also by Asimov, and since I've read a ton of them, the movie didn't surprise me. The movie was very entertaining, lots of special effects, explotions, and robots left and right. All in all, I did enjoy it. I do recomend it. ~Chivo

    Doom 3

I'm sure Doom 3 will be a nice game to have, however there's only one game I'm waiting impatiently for... HALF-LIFE 2! Yup, nothing will come close to it.
  20. Hey Dave, it was awesome! I just wanted to say that everytime I go back to TX, it feels like I'm going home. And all the people I met there were absolutely amazing. Y'all rock! Had sooo much fun. Can't remember the last time I did soo many RW dives!
  21. Hi Clint, there are many suitable cards to output s-video or rca. You mention 'output' not input. So, a bigger concern is how fast your CPU is, trust me, that's what is going to consume most of your time. You can use firewire to get video from DV cameras, but doubt that either Nvidia or ATI can give you what you're looking for... a graphics adapter that will aid video editing by doing *something* in hardware instead of relying on the CPU. Edit: So, if all you want is output to s-video or rca, either of those brands will work. Just don't expect your editing to be faster because of them. ~Chivo
  22. Based on different reviews, it seems that the D70 has good features for skydiving, like in the link... http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/nikond70/page4.asp scroll down to the Shutter Release Sound, and you'll see a comparison of fps for the D70 vs the Digital Rebel. I'm more concerned about being able to find a tongue switch for it, or having to make one yourself. You might even need to open the camera, which isn't a good idea if you don't know what you're doing. ~Chivo
  23. I only ask for 'BEER'!!!! Who cares about coke or pop, or whatever... when the only choice should be BEER!?!?!? ...and to think you call yourself skydivers! Blah! HEHEHE! ~Chivo
