  1. Wow, I'm glad I'm not the only one who's messed up their shoulder on flare! I hope everything goes well for you. The physical therapy you do afterwards is rough, but keep up with it. BTW, I liked PT so much that I decided to become a physical therapist.
  2. Photos that I took today! http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=184038&id=638102423&l=8d6d1b70a6 _Pm __ "Scared of love, love and aeroplanes...falling out, I said takes no brains." -- Andy Partridge (XTC)
  3. Oh really? That's interesting because both Skydive Chicago and Chicagoland Skydiving have both provided aircraft to dropzones in Mexico (Skydive Cuautla and Skydive Puerto Escondido). If I owned those planes, I would certainly want them to be flying and making money, and I would most certainly be marketing to that geographical area. _Pm __ "Scared of love, love and aeroplanes...falling out, I said takes no brains." -- Andy Partridge (XTC)
  4. I highly recommend getting one of those Bissell Little Green steam vacuums. Compact and awesome for cleaning up those inevitable accidents on the carpet! I've attached a picture of our pup, turning 2 years old next month!

  6. I am by no means an expert, but I do work in the physical therapy profession as an outpatient PT aide, and I volunteer in the spinal cord injury unit at the #1 rehabilitation hospital in America (as ranked by U.S. News & World Report). I think the spinal cord injury unit at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago is AMAZING. I volunteer once a week with a physical therapy walking group, and I see people progress from powered wheelchairs to canes in a couple months. Each patient has their own rehab team that consists of a doctor, nurse, patient care technician, physical therapist, occupational therapist, and psychologist, and any other help if needed. Patients do at least 3 hrs (often more) of therapy per day, which is why they have such dramatic results. I recently worked with a patient whose first doctor told him he would not walk again after a car accident. He rocked his first day of walking group, and he was discharged walking with a walker. Anyway, I won't babble too much longer, but try to find a dedicated rehabilitation hospital. In my humble opinion, that is the best direction to go. Here is the report from U.S. News: http://www.usnews.com/directories/hospitals/index_html/specialty+REPREHA/ Good luck and good vibes to your friend! _Pm __ "Scared of love, love and aeroplanes...falling out, I said takes no brains." -- Andy Partridge (XTC)
  7. Hi all, just updating the list. Andy and I will most likely be there on July 30 & 31, give or take a day or two! _Pm 2ndgensteinke AndyMan and craichead BigSky Bolas Clownburner Dr.Dive ep11300 dbcooper and deb Fozz grannyinthesky grimmie jdobleman Ladydyver livendive monkycndo Moodyskydiver Nightingale NWFlyer Pattersd Shannon and Jim Shell666 Skootz TheStepchild TallGuy __ "Scared of love, love and aeroplanes...falling out, I said takes no brains." -- Andy Partridge (XTC)
  8. Just to give you an idea of how far your physics book cover photo is reaching, I'm currently taking a physics course at a city college (community/junior college) in Chicago. The textbook that we're using now is horrible, so our professor recommended a couple other books to supplement our resources. When he held up the textbook, I got really excited and said outloud, "Awesome, wingsuits!" I think I was the only one in the class who truly appreciated the photo. _Pm __ "Scared of love, love and aeroplanes...falling out, I said takes no brains." -- Andy Partridge (XTC)
  9. I've been laughing all morning because of the ICHC web site--thanks! Here's my addition: ihasahotdog _Pm __ "Scared of love, love and aeroplanes...falling out, I said takes no brains." -- Andy Partridge (XTC)
  10. It was entertaining...for the most part. The only thing that I really did not like was seeing Buster bounce. I know he's not real and it's just a Simulaid, but the image of seeing a human form hit the ground from freefall is very disturbing. They played that scene (and the scattered appendages) several times over. _Pm __ "Scared of love, love and aeroplanes...falling out, I said takes no brains." -- Andy Partridge (XTC)
  11. Gorgeous! Where in Tennessee were you? I grew up in Knoxville, and I definitely miss those rolling hills. The midwest is severely lacking in topography. _Pm __ "Scared of love, love and aeroplanes...falling out, I said takes no brains." -- Andy Partridge (XTC)
  12. Have you gotten Doggles for your pooch, yet? I've seen them at PetSmart and PetCo, but I haven't convinced myself to purchase them for our dog, yet. _Pm __ "Scared of love, love and aeroplanes...falling out, I said takes no brains." -- Andy Partridge (XTC)
  13. Are you looking to buy or rent? Do you want to keep a car? AndyMan and I live downtown in the West Loop, and we both walk to work. We own a condo with a parking space, but the West Loop is an up and coming middle-upper class area, so street parking is still realistic. Not so much in the older and livelier neighborhoods of Wicker Park, Lakeview/Wrigleyville, etc. If you'd like more detailed info, PM me or AndyMan!
  14. I love the Dog Whisperer! AndyMan and I watched several episodes before getting our dog, and his tips are helping immensely. I always had a dog growing up, and my last dog, a westie, was totally neurotic. Andy also had a neurotic dog as a kid, and now we understand why--we never exercised our dogs properly nor gave them proper discipline, just affection! New season of the Dog Whisperer starts on Friday! I love Popeye--he is the rehabilitated, formerly "red zone" pit bull who lost one of his eyes in a fight. Now he's a big gentle baby! _Pm __ "Scared of love, love and aeroplanes...falling out, I said takes no brains." -- Andy Partridge (XTC)
