Thanks guys, that answers my question perfectly. I had spoken to someone who does video production, but the only Sony he had to reference from was the Z1A, and I was kinda hoping that other models would have that same feature. Not to be I suppose Now to find a PAL version!

I live in Australia, and i'm looking around to buy a Sony PC1000 (this will be my first video camera, and i'm going to jump it in the future), most likely from the USA because that's where most of the 2nd hand ones are. Being in Australia we use PAL, and i'm wondering if I buy a PC1000 from America, am I going to have issues with the NTSC/PAL thing, or does it not matter when recording to MiniDV? Is there a setting in the camera that I can just flick over to PAL? I've looked around on the net pretty extensively, but I can't find what the answer to this, so i thought i'd ask some people with experience with that camera. I'm pretty clueless when it comes to video seeing as I'm just getting into it. Thanks!

Kirrz, You may not know it but I was on that load with you (I was the guy with just a tshirt on about to freeze my ass off on a tracking jump! Black rig with yellow stripey bits). It was insanely turbulent, it's normal to freak out when the plane's doing all that. I seriously thought you were going to vomit all over me, and that would not have been a good thing, as it would've caused me to vomit too Keep at it! Remember, you have a parachute, two actually! Worst case scenario you'll have to jump out and use it, which you were going to do anyway! Will probably see you tomorrow I guess! Jason

It could probably impede the canopy opening and pressurisation too.... Openings are definitely violent enough to cause the material to become rigid i'm sure.... That'd suck.

Haha that was gold! Seriously tho baseknut, you coulda saved yourself alot of crap by spending a few hours (or months in reality) just reading everything you could possibly devour on BASE. There are plenty of good resources on pretty much EVERY topic and answers to nearly every question a newbie could have about BASE.
