dam thats low, had anyone warned him ? also was it a static line jump ? did his g/f hold it for him ? or did he just jump throw and get line stretch at 103 feet ? he'd need a good pack and a big PC for that wouldnt he ? has this guy jumped since ? edited to say that I just re-read ya post and read "he chose to freefall " and who or what is "spence" If I remember rightly he went stowed. Not 100% sure tho.

Hmmm I really didn't think it was all that bad as you perceive it. Although hearing Glenn say he only does safe jumps, then seeing him tumbling down the face of Trango (don't think i've ever seen footage of anyone going as unstbale as that on a big wall, scary) seemed a little odd for me, I don't think that Glenn bandied around that term about himself too much at all. It would've been more the script writers than Glenn himself I'm guessing. If you feel that strongly about it, go to Nepal and hire a chopper pilot and chopper off the army there (just came back from there, huge walls and mountains), though you are gonna have to ice climb and mountaineer your way up to the top and jump off like Glenn, because Great Trango is 6231m and you can't get a chopper up that high, unless you're looking to get alt. sickness and die rather quickly. I spent 3 weeks above 5000m, and it hurts like hell. You don't get used to it. Glenn and Heather went higher. I think he earned that title, it's not so easy to do what they did as you might like to think.

Ok it seems that #56 died while making the jump, he slipped on exit but he was still in the process of doing the take-off, which is why he's on the top list. Jurgen Ornburger and Neil Queminet died while reaching the exit, which is why they're on the bottom. Ken's jump seems more like Jurgen and Neil's incidents than #56's. He died reaching the exit, not doing the launch portion of the jump like #56.

I'm an outsider at the moment (not for long tho!), but here's my take. I vote No. Ken died trying to get to the exit point, not doing the jump. That may seem harsh but i think it's right. I think it would be a better idea to put him and the jetski guy in a 3rd section, "B.A.S.E. Related Fatalities". (or something similiar) Cheers

Me too, does it not work on aMac? It's not a spreadsheet, so opening it in Excel isn't going to help if that's what you're doing. It's a word doc with embedded pictures, so any machine with Microsoft Word should be able to open them just fine! =)
