James see if someone will collect you from madrid ? it would probably be cheaper than a hire car. Lillo is a small town but plenty places to drink and the other thing would be if you have a car you could visit the local area. Its about 1.5 hour drive from the airport in madrid not 45 mins. The bunkhouse is about 5-6 euro's (£3.50) per night which is ok take a sleeping bag, loads off places to eat dz is quite cheap and good for food.
