  4. More PC correctness, Oh please save us from these idiots . My Daughter will be starting her University place, with a view to teaching this year. Think she would rather be called Miss than some choice words used, that is said these day against teachers by their students. Its got nothing to do with anything but politeness, which is not a bad thing to re-enforce in children. Billy-Sonic Haggis Flickr-Fun

After the adrenaline rush, you then have to drive home. Christ all you want to do is sleep Billy-Sonic Haggis Flickr-Fun
  9. One of the locals I contacted said that there have been some photographers that were victims of those gangs, with their gear stolen and some minor injuries while shooting the Packard Plant. Personal security is a significant concern for these shoots and has been on the other Texas urban exploration photoshoots I've been on, it is something that the other photographers in my group and I take very seriously. We also take serious steps to provide protection for each other. Regardless, thank you for all the feedback, having made contact with some of the suggested people from the thread I've learned that basically there is no legal access since the property owners really don't care unless they're going to make significant money from a commercial shoot. There aren't any people or organizations providing a fixer service or organizing anything like this, which is too bad since I think that could be a serious side-gig for a local pro-photographer. Well, I guess I'll get back to focusing on access to the Baker Hotel before it gets redeveloped. well here was my last place a power plant that only closed April, to be changed from Coal to gas but they had already ripped out most of the turbines Turbine Hall During Dark https://fastfall123.trovebox.com/p/eho/token-6ca1f55576 Daytime https://fastfall123.trovebox.com/p/em8/token-6a07bb9806 control room still connected https://fastfall123.trovebox.com/p/eid/token-fb1d123a8c pipe dreams https://fastfall123.trovebox.com/p/erj/album-4u Conveyor feed into the plant https://fastfall123.trovebox.com/p/eng/album-4u Billy-Sonic Haggis Flickr-Fun

Same this week with the irritating bloody washing machine door. Door lock sticking (age), so ordered the spare paid about $20. 15. See as i say each person deals with it differently. I don't even think of them subconsciously as far as i am aware. I don't feel the need for them regardless of the situation, its just not a part of my life anymore. For which i am grateful but as i say smokers nearby doesn't bother me. just deal with it the best you can
  16. I hit other to be honest. Me I didn't consider myself a non smoker till the feeling of need/ addiction or requirement had left me. Every one is different and how they handle it will be too. Its been over 8 years and since quitting, i have never experienced any craving or need for them. Regardless of the situation, I just don't need them anymore. For some people their triggers are drinking getting up or stress, every ones case is individual. I am not a rabid ex smoker, people smoking doesn't bother me and I don't foam at the mouth. If they do its just something not important for me to think about anymore. Its all psychological Billy-Sonic Haggis Flickr-Fun

  21. perhaps the person doesn't wish to jump in the UK which is why he is not a member ? there are still jumpers (UK residents ) who are just not interested in jumping here. In Which case it might be just a case of taking out a private insurance that covers them for that period ?. That would also depend on just this trip cover or year round cover ! quite a few variables to think of Billy-Sonic Haggis Flickr-Fun
  22. Perhaps where you jumping Russia Mik but the guy was talking about New Zealand. Where the temp he quoted was pretty much like Scotland at altitude. where i have jumped through winters in the passed and went out the door at 12k @-40oC. Spending about 45 secs in freefall with gloves was not a problem but floating about while working your way down under canopy for 5-7mins @say 15mph forward speed at a subzero ground temp is where you will feel it. Seen one experienced jumper land and unable to remove his gear due to Numbness after forgetting his gloves. Not something you do twice Billy-Sonic Haggis Flickr-Fun
  23. Some 99.999% of the world's population see no point in skydiving. Did you have a point? he has already done it so why again ? seams pointless to me Did you make more than one skydive? one and a Half actually .........Guess you must have done two Billy-Sonic Haggis Flickr-Fun

  25. To be honest your not there long enough to suffer cold in freefall, Always found it was when under canopy to the ground you tend you feel it. I find hillwalking gloves crossover/work well and are not expensive either. Just make sure they can be secured, are wind proof and not to thick where you still have good feel of your handle. I buy mine from local climbing, hillwalking store. Billy-Sonic Haggis Flickr-Fun
