i agree with you... i don't think men seem to understand that it takes much much more than looks - and money -- to win a girl's heart. Its how he treats her, his personality, his intelligence. Looks only go so far. (although I am sure his being famous doesn't hurt). Plus they probably have a lot in common being in the same business and world...

I think what one accomplishes should be determined on its own and what one believes is important -- and not compared to others because its all relative... and society puts so much emphasis on things that aren't really accomplishments in my book... that being said.. i would have to say my biggest accomplisment that I did on my own, and that society and family didn't expect of me, was to run a marathon. It took months of discipline and getting out of bed early in the morning. Nothing felt better than knowing I could do it. (since then I have run 3 others). Hopefully one day I will have the accomplishments that others have stated: like having a child, having a great family, starting some type of philanthropy, giving more back to others, helping others out, etc.

I agree with you.. I have a very quirky sense of humor but I don't really find this funny. Plus I think that each one deserves to be given a certain level of respect for different reasons.

i agree with you... i like it at all times and sometimes more than others. I would have to say that I really really like it during the day when my senses are most in tune and awake. Sometimes at night, with too much food and alcohol, I am less sensitive and more tired.

I'm not sure if it matters, but the dollar cost of wages are only one portion of them, and some other parts (like SS) slide in proportion to the dollar wages. that is true -- dollar cost is only one part of the cotsts for employers. They also have to pay a 6.5% tax for social security, 1.5 % tax for Medicare, in addition to local taxes. Also don't forget the cost of health care (a very big cost -- for families $10,000 a year), and also other fringe benefits. All these costs make it very difficult to continue to expand the job market base. Classic economics say that the economy will bear what the market requires -- classic economics will bear the pareto effiiency -- so the minimum wage is what is necessary,. If a job is in demand, then the employer will pay whatever is necessary. Most economists say that minimum wage is artificial and detrimental and we should instead rely on market forces.

you are talkimg about something you know nothing about... the income that the House and senate Members of Congress get is not that much -- especially considering that most of them made TONS more in the private sector. Its tied to COLAs and they have to vote to NOT give themselves an increase. And if you think about it -- $140,000 or whatever is their annual income is really not that much considering they have to keep two homes (one in district and one in DC) and the cost of living in DC is fairly high. I am not defending Members of Congress but I know for a fact that none of the Members there are there because of the income. Its a joke for most of them. In fact, some of them actually give the salary BACK to the Federal government. And in my view, tax credits are bad tax policy -- all around.

I think your inner voice is telling you to get it.. you obviously put a lot of thought into it to design a tattoo. i had the same mindset when I was thinking about getting a tattoo for my 30th bday. I had thought about getting one for years and people kept telling me I would regret it when I was older -- but I finally decided why not - I want it god damnn it! ... Well, I have not had any regrets and I love my tattoo. Plus i got another one just two years later. I think that if its something that you have been thinking about/wanting to do for a long time -- and have also had an idea about what you want, then you should go for it.

Where's the "I am easy for the right guy" I don't consider myself easy at all but if I meet someone who I have this strong attraction to (physical, intellectual, mental) then its very easy for me to be easy. This happens so rarely that i consider it its own category.

I think I prefer neither. I like it when there is such a strong mutual attraction that you can just look at each other and know what's up, no need for a chase on either part. Why? I guess I don't find chasing someone or being chased to be much fun... Hmm... maybe it means that he has met his match. I don't have a lot of experience as chaser or chasee. I met Susan at the campus grill, just happend to be next to each other in line. I looked in her eyes, she looked in mine ...we were seldom apart for the next 37 years.
